Scruffy course shoehorned into a small space
I was told the greens had been aerated two weeks ago, but they were still extremely bumpy. The fairways and rough were patchy, but the bunkers had plenty of nice sand (although folks often seemed to leave them unraked).
This is the kind of course that doesn't really fit in the spot it's in. There are several odd sharp doglegs with tall trees off the tee blocking you from cutting the corner, so hybrid/short iron is often the play. Several holes require you to hit past a corner, but too much farther and you're in the trees, so distance control on the tee shots is important. Some players may be tempted to hit extreme hooks or slices into blind landing areas, but that's quite a risk. Play the course how it's meant to be played and it's pretty fun -- there are a few longer holes, and the greens have interesting contours.
The folks I met there were friendly, but players hitting into trees and searching for balls made the round a bit longer than average. There are also several spots where people are teeing off near paths to other holes, so keep your eyes peeled to avoid being a target!
The course is fairly pretty, but has houses along some fairways. I spotted a bald eagle near its nest, which was nice.
Good winter golf
Course conditions were good. A few areas under repair but for winter golf it was awesome. Nice weather is allowing them to groom the course. Good work was being done on the bunkers.
Course could be sanded. A little mushy but it is Dec
Good weather
I always enjoy this course, but today the weather was nice and the course conditions were good.
Greens were not cut well or clean
Due to cool damp fall weather the course was quite wet. The greens were left tall and grass clippings from the last cut were on the greens making them very bumpy and slow.
Thanks to lend my partner the putter
My partner forgot the putter, pro shop guy lent us one, we enjoyed it, appreciate a lot.
Greens need to heal still
Greenskeeper bob needs to put some TLC into it, and the course owners need to invest back into the course! Would be nicer to play but for the price. It’ll do
Never again
Unfair course layout. Think you hit a good shot and end up losing a ball. If you go a little off you end up in blackberry bushes with thorns
We normally don’t lose balls and lost 8 balls between 2 of us. Parking is terrible. Can’t take cart to the car even if you are senior
Would never recommend this course
Do not play this horrible golf course
The worst golf course I have ever played it is cheap for a reason.Cheap compared to other golf courses but not worth the money.I would give it a 0 out of 10.Most of the holes are just stupid ,on par fours hitting 8 irons off the tee then longer iron on the second shot. The greens are worst then pitch and putt golf courses .Do not know how the greens keeper has a job,I would not let that idiot near my lawn. The pace of play is horrible ,did not see the Marshall all day,
This golf course is not even worth a 0 it should be a minus 10.
youre playing in march when its still winter conditions.... not sure why you are expecting summer conditions.
