About
Overlooking the Georgia Strait, Fairwinds Golf Club occupies a scenic stretch of land on the East Coast covered with towering Douglas Firs and Garry Oak trees. An abundance of wildlife also inhabits the course. It is not rare to see deer during a round or an eagle flying overhead. The oceanfront golf course features water on 11 holes and there are more than 70 sand bunkers strategically guarding the greens and fairways. Les Furber designed the course, incorporating subtle nuances in the greens that make them much more challenging than they appear. Fairwinds is often thought of as a "thinking course" as it requires careful strategy in order maneuver the contoured greens and tree-lined fairways. Seasoned golfers may be able to uncover some hidden birdie opportunities. Known not only for the challenging round, Fairwinds Golf Club boasts pristine conditions, which has made it a popular golfing destination.

Nice laayout
Fun course , nice views and challenging enough for all golfers. The pin locations were tough which made birdies that much more rewarding. Would play again for sure. The only reason I gave it 3 for course conditions was they are on water restrictions and it was very dry, not much they could do about it.
Great location
Had a great round later on a Saturday. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We played with a member and even though we had played this course before, it was a long time ago, and she was so helpful in advising us on present conditions and local knowledge. We will definitely return to play there again

This course is a pleasure
The course is in great shape. I like the improvements made on the 4th hole. We had a great day on the course; we could not have asked for better golf conditions and the course is in great shape for this time of year.

Narrow fairways and tight sloping greens. Second fav course next to predetor ridge.

The price was outstanding for an excellent course which was in great shape considering it was so early in the year.
Good experience could have been better.
Everything about the course was good except for how the starter set us up with another twosome.
The other two fellows were fine gentlemen and we did have a good time, but there was no need to add them to our twosome to create a foursome, which just slowed us down and changed the dynamics of the day accordingly. There was nobody else playing behind us and there wasn't an easy way socially to separate. Starter could have made both twosomes enjoy their day on the course far more pleasant by simply letting play as twosomes.
Great early season condition
Excellent condition all around! We had fun playing!
Jannuary at its finest
Can't get any better in Canada in January playing golf on a well maintain golf course. Carts had to stay on the cart paths, the course was really wet but there was lots of rain on days before our outing and expected . I thought there ought to be a discount for the cart rental because you can't get full usage but they charge full price. The greens and fairways were meticulous, excellent height and the staff makes you want to come back and I will. The regular members playing all were seniors and very friendly
Excellent Course in Winter Conditions
The course was in a good winter condition. A few t-boxes were grouped together to preserve the other tees for that hole. One or two tees were on "mats". Greens were in excellent condition..very good food service an all the staff we met were friendly.
our day
We had booked at 1:26PM, however, due to inclement we were able to tee-off at 12:45pm. There were only four other people on the course since we had heavy rain just an hour before our tee-off time. The course was wet, but we didn't get wet feet as there were no puddles and standing water. The greens and fairways were immaculate as we expected from Fairwinds. It took us four hours to complete the course in cool but at times sunny conditions. This is an outstanding and challenging golf course, which is a pleasure to play.
Great course
this has always been a very good course. I have played here many times and always found it a great all round challenge.

great golf course
Great golf course, very well maintained and the greens were very well manicured. Only thing is the golf carts are very expensive otherwise great golf course. Would ply there again
Beautiful but crowded
Beautiful course, but crowded and slow. They should ask for handicap certificates. Too many people with no idea how to play golf
You can walk this course
The course is in excellent shape, there were some narrow fairways, my husband hits a long ball and did not pull out his driver on too many holes.
