Shuswap National
About
Shuswap National's (formerly known as Canoe Creek Golf Course) unique design brings you a bit of the British Isles, offering more than 7,000 yards of open fields, grass-faced bunkers and striking water features including creeks, waterfalls, fountains and natural marshes. Fescue defines many of the fairways at Shuswap National. The course welcomes both walkers and riders; it features grass-style cart paths that blend with the natural feel of the area. Dave Barr's first signature course, Shuswap National is well known for its immaculate hybrid A4 bentgrass greens, which are open, accessible and very receptive to approach shots, but challenge with subtle undulations.

It is a beautifully sculpted course.
This is a work of art, with artfully constructed stone walls outlining in some cases several levels of fairways and greens. The sense of variety extends to the contours and patterns of each fairway. Each is unique and interesting, connected together by a series of cart paths that have a mesh foundation through which grass grows, creating an integrated effect with the greenery of the rest of the course.
Greens were very well maintained and offered a challenging putting surface without creating frustration...a "do-able" opportunity.
I would come back anytime to play this and look forward to doing so!
great greens, fast and soft
Although I rode this time, walking the course is a good workout, walks between green and tee are short, but there is lots of undulations on the course.
Excellent Course Condition
Great deal on Golf Now. Course condition was in excellent shape.
Very interesting
This is a wonderful course that is well maintained with great variety in the holes and terrain. Some of the holes are quite narrow and you can be in a bit of trouble if you don't stay on the fairway. The greens and fairways are in great shape and fun to play. Watch out for the pot bunkers - there are lots of them. It was an enjoyable afternoon and hope to be able to return in the future.
Great open fairways - beautiful
Love this course, very pristine,
excellent environmental friendly
paths between holes. Great
mountain scenery.
Another peach of a day in the Shuswap!
I live down the street and finally played here. WOW! Beautiful place. I found some of the holes a little long. I have only been playing for 3 years. The long holes only make my par 3's easier.
Course is in imaculate shape
We had an amazing deal through last minute golf but the normal rates are overpriced
A beautiful course in beautiful condition
This course was in fantastic condition and the greens were excellent. It's a challenging course in a beautiful setting. The fairways were well groomed, greens were fast and true and the amenities were great too. You had to make some crucial decisions with club selection but were rewarded when making a good shot. There were some severe dog-legs, steeply elevated greens etc, making it very interesting. The bunkers are deep, make sure you swing through. Well worth the 2 hour drive! Can hardly wait to play it again.
Canoe treat
Great greens, fun layout, hit every club in the bag. Maybe a bit rough around the edges but still a very enjoyable round. I would charge a bit less a get the place hopping, but not my call. I've paid more for worse! This place at $50 would be awesome
Beautiful Mountain Course
Beautiful, challenging, and very well maintained. Great course, some local knowledge required on numerous tee shots. First tee is OB on left but quite open on the right, etc. Worth the drive.
Serene
Very nice and pleasant course to play. Drive through industrial area to get to clubhouse, not very good.
This course has great views.
The course was in excellent condition and the pace of play was 4 hours.
The staff was very good.
