Nice course with some difficult long par 3’s
Staff is very friendly.
First time playing Winter Pines and truly enjoyed it. Not a hard course to play. It is short with four par 3's back to back. Fairways and greens well taken care of. Staff is really great and make you feel really welcomed. The pace of play was really slow as it was really crowded. Nevertheless, will come back to Winter Pines.
Wintry Pines a Diamond in the rough
I’ve been playing Winter Pines for many years. The course is in excellent shape. Maybe a bit too many par 3’s but they are long and challenging. Love playing here.
Staff was great, course is average
All staff that I encountered were wonderful and friendly. The gentleman in the pro shop, starter, cart guys, and bar staff were all very friendly, thank you. When playing a cheaper, older course, you get certain things that the staff has no control over. Slow play on a Saturday morning is also part of the issue. Tee times are too close together and we had to wait 15 minutes after our scheduled time. Lots of bad, slow golfers are part of the deal too Again, no fault of the course staff. The course itself was in pretty good shape for the rates you're paying. Greens a little slow and have some depressions randomly in some of the greens as if they were never graded properly or had settled over time. Fairways were the best part of the course. Very smooth and grass was in great shape. Tees looked pretty good too except for just a few had some weak areas where it was tough to get a good lie without using a tee. If you want a cheap round without having to drive way out of town, it's a good choice. I'm a little bummed it's not a par 72 or 71 layout, but not the end of the world. Just don't expect fast play on a weekend.
Short but fun track
Fun course if you want a quick round that tests all you clubs. Par 67 but some of the par 3’s are monsters. Some par 4/5’s are tight and challenging. Greens mostly acceptable but many had spots of weeds that were mowed tight. Some tee boxes need work. Fairways have dried up and are now bumpy when driving to your ball. They are mostly weed free with a few bare spots that didn’t affect play. Bunkers in good enough shape. All in all a great value if you want to get out and just hit the ball. Adequate practice facilities.
Soggy but still fun
Winter Pines continues to be a great public course. Although soggy in some places, the course condition was everything I've come to expect and experience at Winter Pines. I'd play here any day.
Too much water
Greens in great condition but the fairways in very but shape to much water.
Nice lay out
First time playing full 18 holes and I loved it. Love the four straight par-3s on back 9 since two of them were 200 yards from the middle tees, which is a great challenge. I will play this course again asap!
Great fairways, good greens. Super nice people not only in the shop, but out on the course!
Great value and conditions!
From teeboxes to greens the conditions are very very good. Regardless of heavy rains the course is very playable. The staff is always friendly and flexible. The price to play, practice and have a bite to eat is always a bargain.
Greens are back in great shape. Course was in great condition after a couple days w/o rain
Nice the small golf course is in great condition, only two temporary greens, #1 & 3, the rest in great condition. Really likely golf course.
Most of the greens are in very bad conditions and you must be played in 3 temporary greens.
Hoping next time I play the green are in better conditions.

Jim was so helpful and kind - went out of his way to get us on the course. Dot Foelber Paul is 92 and I am almost 91 but we play better ball and keep moving so it was a pleasure to be able to move along - all the other golfers kept up the pace and we did not have to wait at any hole - which is rare. - we finished in less than 3 hours
Greens under construction
I don’t think it’s an unreasonable request to inform customers BEFORE they pay for green fees, or even head out on tee number 1, that half of the course has “shortened greens” and under repair.
Lots of beat up greens.
Not ready to be used really. Too many beat up greens. A bunch of temp greens too. fairways and tee boxes are fine.
Greens need work, many long par 3's.
Decent course most of the time, but the greens on the front nine (as they disclose) are in such bad shape right now that three holes have temporary greens. Once that is worked out, the course will be much more pleasant to play. This said, they could stand to move the forward tees up ~20 yards on at least two of the par 3's on the back nine, which are 178 yards in length - a bit much for forward tees.
