The Rise Golf Club is situated 400 meters above Okanagan Lake, providing stunning views of the water and surrounding valley. Fred Couples paired up with Gene Bates to design the course, skillfully manipulating fairway width, landing area design, and hazard placement in order to make a golf course that both a seasoned professional could enjoy as well as a high handicapper. The landscape's natural wetlands, including Moose Pond on the 12th hole, were carefully preserved and incorporated into the design. The par-3 15th hole is the course's trademark. This hole plays from an elevated tee that sits 100 feet above the green, which is also framed by a large pond. Opened in 2008, The Rise Golf Club is one of the area's newest but it has quickly become a local favorite.

Got to try this one

Fun scenic golf course. Tons of elevation changes. A few blind shots so it helps to play it more than once even with the gps system

Could do Better

Pro Shop staff not great. At the completion of golf were informed carts not allowed in parking lot and the two ladies had to pack their clubs uphill to the parking lot. They will not return. Lots off other courses to play in this area where they are treated better.

A second visit thanks to Golfnow

Couldn't turn up a 2nd visit with the great discount through Golfnow. For those using the Golf Logix app, hole #1 is #10. Was able to improve my score on this 2nd round much to my satisfaction. Highly recommend this course if you want some fun and a challenge. Definity not for beginners because pretty much anything beyond the rough on the fairway sides is automatically a lost ball.

An impressive mountain course

Great view of the valley below and many intriguing holes taking advantage of the diverse terrain. Par 4's that look like par 5's but you can get amazing shots thanks to steep hills that lets your ball roll forever.

Very Enjoyable

This course has several sets ot Tee's depending on the level of difficulty wanted. The views of the valley and the lake below are spectacular in places. Also, the course has many interesting and visually pleasing holes. Best to play it for the first time with someone who knows their way around it!!

A great course for scenery and golf.

I have played the Rise many times in the past few years. Spectacular vistas. Very challenging and in great shape. I have heard from low handicap golfers that they don't care for the number of blind shots. However for me,the blind shots are an extra challenge and the vistas far out weigh the blind shots.
I love the fact that there are not any houses etc. built up around the fairways, it all makes for a great day of fun ,scenery and great golf. There is even a good chance you may see some wildlife.

Great scenery!

Far too many blind tee shots, and this course is too difficult for a 20 handicapper. The group following us were rude and offensive even though we were playing at a good pace(under four hours), and it was obvious we were waiting for the group in front of us. The starter was very friendly, but other staff ignored us. Won't be back!!

Incomparable Scenery

It was difficult to concentrate on the game, the views were stunning. We laughed as we played one hole after uphill, what goes up must come down, and it did.

The course combines challenge with panoramic views

The course is very challenging with sloping fairways demanding accuracy. The views are stunning including both rolling hills and the lake. The course is very well maintained and we liked it so much we golfed it twice during our 2 week vacation in the Okanagan. Really friendly staff, not much of a clubhouse yet though.

Great views

Was well worth it, very good layout and very challenging. Played with the Associate Pro and really enjoyed it. Nice to watch great golf. Some blind shots that made it a bit difficult. Some very nice holes and the course was in good condition. Would play again.

All 4 of us Had a Great Time

Every hole seems to offer a different challenge and experience. The LARGE GPS screens helped in finding your way around the blind shots. Greens were great shape readable and predictable
Fairways and markers good. Traps could be better but OK for this setting. Overall all 4 of us had a great day and we are 10 - 20 handicapers

Well kept course, great view on some holes,Requires good golf shots to stay out of trouble, Overal a very nice experience even for a 100+ score golfer.

I found it challenging but fair. You need to keep your shots in the fairway. The greens are excellent. We did experience some slow play but it didn't seriously detract from the enjoyment of the game. The golfers that we met while waiting to proceed were all very friendly and courteous. The staff that we did interact with were very pleasant and were very helpful. All in all a very nice experience.

Pleasant Surprise

Great afternoon. I've wanted to play The Rise ever since moving to Vernon last year. I had heard mixed reviews. Two couples golfed and we had a great time. The views are spectacular, the holes are challenging. A few hidden holes but we struggled through. The GPS was great and helpful hints on each hole. The course was in good shape.
We all look forward to playing it again.

Great condition, great views

This mountainside course is very interesting with many uphills and downhills and elevated tees, you rarely see the other fairways, The slopes, the tall rough, and sometimes narrow fairways makes it challenging. Would definitely go back.

This course plays well for all levels of golfers.

The "Tee it Forward" folks will really appreciate this course. It has it's challenges for the long hitters, but the awsome views and scenery will impress everyone.
