Links of Lake Bernadette
The Links of Lake Bernadette enjoys verdant landscaping and a rolling terrain that are perfectly complemented by mature and towering pines. At 6,400 yards, the golf course is seemingly short but it feels like it plays much longer due to frequent doglegs that can be found throughout. Six of the par 4s play over 400 yards and a few par 3s measure over 200 yards, which also helps the course feel longer. Water hazards and bunkers come into play but they are balanced by large greens and wide fairways that make for easier approaches. Although beginners won't feel out of place and there are four different sets of tees, the golf course boasts several tricky holes that will challenge even the best players. One of these, the 163-yard 13th, was once called the best par 3 in Tampa Bay.

Good but Wet.
They have been working on the drainage issue but it still needs more work. Players can also help by not driving while the cours is wet. The layout is good and the greens are good. Fun course to play but everyone needs to take care of it. Shot an 88 by the way.
Frankly the course shouldn't even be open right now. This track simply doesn't drain well, mutable unplayable wet areas in the middle of fairways & around the greens. If that weren't bad enough the greens are VERY VERY SLOW and in overall bad condition.
Give these folks a few weeks to see if they can get the greens back in shape. And never play this course if has been raining in the same week.
The “lake” is the course
Cart path only which was fine but you had a hard time getting to the ball it was so saturated. I would understand if it rained recently but it has been a few days. We paid for 18 but stopped at 8 because of conditions it wasn’t even fun.
They would not refund but gave us 2 free 9 hole rounds, we don’t even want to go back they definitely have a problem with drainage. You can hit the ball in the fairway and loose your ball because it sinks in!
the course was extremely wer due to the recent rain, the course doesn't drain well and had the 90° rule in effect for all but two holes which were cart path only. I would recommend this course but not after several days of rain.
This course has very poor drainage. I'm sure paying it during the dry months is fine, but both trips were a muddy mess. Be warned, wear dark clothes and bring a towel.
Cart had not been blown out so I am sure it had not been cleaned. I bring my own wipes. Course was wet but I knew that from past rounds. Played in a little over 3 hrs so can't complain about that. Greens are getting better but could still be a little better. Enjoyed the round and will be back. Love the lay out
Lakes of Link Bernadette
Drainage was a real issue with several balls plugging in the fairway and around the greens; there were a number of roughs and sand bunkers turned into shallow ponds because of the drainage issues. A few of the greens need serious repair, but I would play here again.
Poor drainage around the course, so you had a lot of standing water and mud. Golf cart looked like someone took it off roading and damaged the right body panel. Parking was a nightmare. Staff was very friendly, pace of play was abysmal. We took 6hrs to play 18 with a quick 30 minute lunch break. If play it again under better conditions, it is challenging.
It's summertime in Florida which means heat, rain and humidity. Links of Lake Bernadette staff has done an outstanding job dealing with the conditions that this time of year brings. Pro SHop and Grill staff were very welcoming, friendly and extremely efficient. We will be back
Great local course
The staff is friendly and managed a very busy morning, well. We were to tee off at 7:52am and there was about 20 people around the tee box when we arrived. They progression went well and we were on the course by 8. The pace of play was good considering everyone and their brother was playing golf on this day. The course played well, there were patchy spots on some greens and tee boxes, but for a hot Florida summer, it was in good condition. I had a blast and I'll definitely be back.
I was amazed at how dry the Course was considering the summer rains. The grounds crew has done a good job. Keep up the good work! We’ll be back!
Great day with friends.
We have had lots of rain but the course was in very good shape considering.
NO DRIVING RANGE TO WARM UP. LARGE BARE SECTIONS ON SEVERAL GREENS. POOR TEE BOXES. HARDLY ANY YARDAGE MARKERS. GREENS WERE SUPER SLOW. PROBABLY WON'T DRIVE THAT FAR TO PLAY AGAIN. ALSO NO WATER STATION AT THE CLUB HOUSE TO FILL YOUR CUPS. HAD TO GO IN AND ASK FOR WATER AT THE SNACK BAR, ONE TO A CUSTOMER. 90 DEGREES . REALLY?
Course is short, bu has some good hole layouts. The 8th hole leaves a little be be desired. It is short and there is a mounds with bushes about 100 yards out that blocks vision to the green/flag.
