Bay at Cordova Bay Golf Course was the first certified Audubon Sanctuary on Vancouver Island. Mt. Baker rises above the course, providing spectacular views. The verdant landscape is covered with mature trees and an abundance of wildlife. There are also a number of lakes and meandering streams that come into play throughout. The versatile layout is friendly enough for beginners but still challenges more advanced players. There are also four sets of tees that allow even more possibilities. Bay at Cordova Bay G.C. has built its reputation on its immaculate conditions. Golfers can enjoy well manicured fairways and excellently maintained greens year-round. In addition to the 18-hole golf course, Cordova Bay also boasts a par-3, nine-hole course and extensive practice facilities including a 21-bay driving range and a short game practice area with practice bunkers and pitching and putting greens.

If you want to get mocked by the staff and then dismissed by the manager when you bring it to their attention then this is the course for you. It's not worth the views when the staff ruins the experience. The fact that we were so easily dismissed is indicative it'll most likely happen again, as clearly they don't hold their staff accountable when mocking their golfers .

Cordova Bay, Victoria

Great course to challenge every part of your game. Fast, true greens with plenty of bunkers and water to challenge your accuracy. Beautifully manicured greens and fairways. Great dining options after your round.

A hidden Gem

This course gives you a nice breezt=y walk near the water without actually seeing it. A great design where the challnge remains high despite wide fairways and big greens. A couple design flaws hurt it overall appeal but for the most part this is one of the better plays in Victoria.
Always a good time to play don't pass this up.

Best course on Vancouver Island

From tee to green you won't find a better course on the Island. Always in wonderful shape it's one of the most scenic courses in Victoria. Manicured year round and great people in the pro shop and restaurant all at a reasonable price

Great Value

For only $60 this is an awesome deal. The conditions of the course rival any private club in the area and would be in the conversation for best maintained public course in the country. Poa annua greens roll smooth and the course has a decent routing. Good pacing and nice variety with a few challenges that sneak up on you if you're not looking for them! The property has a nice practice facility but the chipping area is a bit out of the way across the road by their par 3 course. Range is nice, but with mats. Pro shop staff are helpful and friendly. Look for all the deer!!

Great little par 3

Will challenge your short irons and putting. Greens are similar in size to the full size course below and often running faster. Won't need more than a 9 iron, wedge and a putter but will give most golfers a good test.

Great friendly course

I always enjoy playing this course, the fairways are evenly watered and could be compared to the greens of some of the other, not as great courses in the area. The only bad thing is that it doesn't have much elevation changes which make some of the holes not very spectacular. The greens are amazing, it's very difficult the find a imperfection. The staff are always friendly too.

An adventured-filled day at Cordova Bay

It's been almost a decade since I played Cordova Bay, but I remember the day well because it was an adventure-filled one. Once my father and I finished playing, we headed quickly to his car to load up so he could catch the ferry back to the mainland. It wouldn't start and out of the blue began spewing a loud obnoxious alarm-type noise we just couldn't turn off. A worker in the pro shop helped us pull the proper fuse to shut the noise down, saving a lot of golfers a lot of headaches. We managed to get the car started, but it died on the ferry, only to revive again and nearly die again in the customs line at the U.S.-Canadian border. We later discovered some sort of electrical short caused all the problems.
Oh by the way, the golf course caused a few problems, too, during the round. The rough was tough and the layout was a steady, solid test. I don't recall too many stand-out holes. Its flatter ground doesn't compare to the wow factor of the topsy-turvy courses at Bear Mountain Resort nearby, but you probably won't be disappointed spending your money there.

Great condition and good to play

The course condition was great as it is normally. If only I could play it better. It has its trying holes but most are straight forward. Just make your shot. The 17th, a par 3 over water has been my nemesis. The only 2 times I have hit the green have i have birdied the hole. The rest were wet balls. The course is normally in playable condition year round as the drainage is good. Fully recomend it. It also helps that I could walk to it if I wanted.

Fun course for all levels of golfer.

Cordova was the last of 3 courses we played on a recent mini golf trip. We really had a fun day and good golf experience. Exceeded my expectations. Other courses to consider, Gorge Vale and Highland Pacific.
