Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Wouldn’t go back
This was the second time I’ve played here, the first in over a year. Things have gotten worse. Stood in the pro shop for about 10 minutes before anyone came to check me in. Had to ask the bartender for help. Greens were super long and slow. Several tee boxes were closed for some reason and were moved up to the fairway. Believe it or not they actually moved the tee markers on a Par 4 into a sand trap 100 yards from the green. Will not be going back, there are much better courses in close proximity that cost the same or less.
Silverado
Course was in good shape. Some of the greens were still recovering from aeration, but were not bad. Cart paths leave a lot to be desired and our cart was severely under powered.
Great course with some little irritant
The tee off, the approach and the green are in very good shape.
My irritant are that most of the ball cleaning station are dry and there’s no water cooler or fountain to refresh oneself on a warm day..
Damgolf
One of the best courses I have played since being down in Florida
A ok.
Everything was pretty good except for some of the fairways had bare spots. You will enjoy playing there if you like shorter courses.
Golf
Pretty good course for the money. I found that there were too few ball washers (3) that I found and one was dry. Also not many trash cans as most courses I play seem to have one at each tee block. We kept our garbage until the end but there were some people that may have had it fall from their carts. Will be back.
fun round
challenging at times, greens were better than average. good pace of play
I just wanted to respond to your post on Golf Advisor from this weekend.
We held our 5th annual Klutz Open tournament on Saturday, December 30th ( I am assuming you played that day- due to your comments)
We definitely had the course set up funky that day with 4 different tee boxes on holes #7, 9 and 14- it was part of the tournament set up to make it different. We definitely did not do a good job of notifying “other” players that day and I apologize for that.
As far as the greens conditions go, I would agree that we are in a transition from overseeding for the winter and then some cold nights adding to a sort of in between length to our greens. Again, we should be better within 3-5 days but I can understand why you might be unhappy as we are normally very good in green conditions.
Please try us again and thank you for your comments
