Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Better now
First time. I liked the layout, some open holes and some tree lined. Busy but pace of play was good.
Great course with some little irritant
The tee off, the approach and the green are in very good shape.
My irritant are that most of the ball cleaning station are dry and there’s no water cooler or fountain to refresh oneself on a warm day..
Damgolf
One of the best courses I have played since being down in Florida
A ok.
Everything was pretty good except for some of the fairways had bare spots. You will enjoy playing there if you like shorter courses.
Golf
Pretty good course for the money. I found that there were too few ball washers (3) that I found and one was dry. Also not many trash cans as most courses I play seem to have one at each tee block. We kept our garbage until the end but there were some people that may have had it fall from their carts. Will be back.
fun round
challenging at times, greens were better than average. good pace of play
Very Crowded
Had rained the night before some wet spots here and there especially on #3 Despite that courses looked good this is the 3rd time I’ve play here this year and the greens r still to slow really got to hit the putt very crowded but no surprise took 41/2 hours with the time change was done in plenty of time only issues is the bunker’s because it not soft sand it’s very hard muddy dirt so u can’t get under the ball makes it harder to get out with a descent shot
Dangerous course
Course was ok I wasn’t overly impressed. I felt it was dangerous to play due to layout. A lot of fairways are next to each oth or cross each other and even a power line and pole in middle of fairway. So if someone hits a bad shot you could easily be hit.
One of my personal favorites
Course play was very slow this particular day as there were a LOT of people on the course. So many so that everyone had to wait until nearly the start of their Tee Times to get a cart because they were all taken. The greens were health and moderately fast as well. Not a lot of standing water on the course to be concerned with. The rough was maintained as well and it makes a difference in the game play when you're not frustrated by the rough being ridiculously unkempt. I play this course regularly because of the $$ and location. It's challenging enough for most weekend golfers and members. Down side is there is no practice putting greens but they will sometimes allow you to practice on #9 or #18 but this day was just too busy. The main driving range is sufficient but needs to maintenance as well. Good enough to use though.
Fun day
Everything looked good from tee to green always enjoy playing this course to work on the short game
Windy Day
Course looks good tee boxes and greens in good shape a dark green color fairways not as good some bare spots here and there and a thin cushion so you’ll have to pick it clean greens r slow so hit the first putt firm overall nice course
