Worth the drive!
One of the best courses I have played. I went with my three sons and we had a great round. Strongly recommend playing this course.
Great course not too far away from the city
No expectations coming in but was pleasantly surprised how good the course was. We enjoyed our game thoroughly. Great greens and course condition with 3 scenic holes will make this course a regular visit for us in the following years.
Every thing was good, highly recommend playing , too bad it’s so far away from us or wold play more often.
You have to try the course, don’t take my word as everyone has different ideas of golf, ENJOY JOY
Beautiful course
Lake of the Sandhills is a well laid out course with beautiful fairways and greens. I golfed with my father-in-law and two sons and we had a great time. It is a challenging course yet forgiving. I would highly recommend playing this 18 hole track.

Several holes have lake views. Greens, and especially fairways in excellent condition
Buffalo Point
Such a great getaway from the city courses. Only two hour drive & everything is here for s relaxing buddies golf weekend.
Something could be said about the unfriendly Proshop staff but we’ll be back next year.
Well worth the trip
Played 54 holes on the weekend with great weather & course conditions. Not overly busy & played all rounds under 4 hours. Fairways & greens in excellent shape.
Awesome course!!
We golfed this course a few times last summer and this was our first for this summer and the staff & course gets better each time! Can’t beat the prices and views! We’ll be back!!!
Great place to play
Have golfed here 4 or 5 times. Always a treat,worth a drive to go there. Caught up to a group of slow players on the back. I have never understood why courses can't get larger groups to pick up the pace instead of making excuses for them! Otherwise, a great golf day
Great value!!
We golfed 18 holes & the first 9 were incredibly slow, as there was a threesome in front of us that kept hitting more than one ball each hole and taking their sweet time getting off the green! Frustrating! We didn’t see the ranger after hole 1, so finally on hole 9 we told the beer cart girl who said she would get the ranger on it! The threesome ended up leaving after hole 9 (thank God) but the ranger did come find us to take care of it. Very very nice staff- loved the course (challenging but fun & some beautiful scenery!). Had great food in the lounge after & again very friendly servers. I will return for sure!!
Overall course was in decent shape but had 2 temporary greens for some reason, regular greens looked perfectly fine.
A lot of annoying black flies in the air all day too.
We were a twosome and had to wait a few holes before being allowed to play through a few times.
All in all a good day of golf.
The course has great features, really enjoy playing it a couple of times a year as it is a 90 mile + drive to golf it.
Management is poor, penalizing us for course and GOLFNOWS TEE TIME MIX UP AND NOT CONTACTING
US ABOUT CHANGE if there even was a mix up. ALL OUR PAPER WORK SAID 2:07 p.m. AND THEY SAID
IT WAS 3 P.M. BUT HAD NO PAPER WORK TO PROVE IT.
THEY FINAL LET US GO TO TEE OFF AT 2:30, AS IT WAS WERE FINISHED AT DUST AND WE NEVER SEEN
ANOTHER GROUP OF GOLFERS IN FRONT OF US AND SEEN A GROUP BEHIND US ONCE MAYBE TWICE.
WE WERE NOT HAPPY AT ALL, THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATIN OF THIS REVIEW.
