Perfect day for golfing!!
Staff was super nice, course in great condition, and weather was perfect, couldn't ask for more.
Horribly maintained course, unfriendly staff
I’ve played this course maybe 10-15 times, and the only reason I played today is it is the only course open rear by due to China virus. The older man in the pro shop was extremely rude today, and isn’t friendly at all. I’ve seen him around before and it’s the same thing every time. Either retire or find a new gig if you can’t be somewhat kosher. Secondly the course itself is in horrible condition. Fairways have hardy any grass, greens are super rough and trashed from ball marks and divots. Tee box is practically mud zone. For the amount this course charges for 18 holes, 40$ you can play turkey creek in Lincoln for 50$ or river oaks in Nicholas for 48$. Will be my last time playing this course for awhile unless maybe new management or this thing gets turned around before people stop coming here completely.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Plumas Lake Golf & Country Club. We hope to see you again in the future.
Course with great potential
We decided to give this golf course a try and were booked for a 1200 tee time. Due to the course being extremely crowded, there was a shortage of carts, our tee time got delayed until almost 2 pm. The course needed some maintenance and upkeep and many spots were dirt along the fairway. The staff was friendly and their snack bar was open for take out only. Overall we still had a good time and the cart delay in all fairness, was not really the fault of the golf course.

Please know that we are working to get everything up to par as the current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game, and will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Plumas Lake Golf & Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.

Nice out-of-the-way course
Luckily they were open (but taking all appropriate safety/health measures) during "shelter in place." Nice course. Nice staff. Enjoyed the break in the rain and grabbed some sunshine. The fairways were in decent condition but some tee boxes needed help. Rough was on the tall/long side. Be accurate... 75% of the fairways were narrow and tree-lined or tight-medium doglegs. Looking forward to returning for another round.
Perfect weather and the pace of the play.
Finished the round in 3 hours. Perfect weather and good service. The greens were extremely fast so not many birdies. Really challenging today. We will be away next week playing in Nevada but can’t wait to return to this gem of a Christmas golf course. Thanks again GolfNow and the Plumas Lake GC.
The course conditions have dropped but fun
I know this course isn’t the best and I’m not looking for Pebble Beach for the price, but boxes were in bad shape and the greens had ball marks every wear. Generally ball marks are not the course managements fault so I lived with this problem for my round. The fairways had mud from all of the rain but that’s to be expected. I spoke to the Marshall who was out trying to fix the gopher problem they’d been having, so needless to say the course is going through its challenges. Overall I had a good day with no backup in front or pushes from behind and I had some pretty good drives on most holes. The number 1 handicap hole #8 made my day since I par it and set up for a great back 9. The 13th par 3 is always fun and challenging as it’s a 208 yard par 3 and the enormous house located behind the green stands out from the rest. The 18th hole is a dog leg left and a driver would not be the club to choose if you hit it long.
It’s really sad to see so many courses suffering as they are and I think this is one of them, but with some luck this course will be around for some good golf in the future. Thanks Plumas for a good day.

Plumas Lake Country Club
Great course for the money. Staff is on point , always respectful. Course upkeep is good, Fairways are perfect ,greens are slightly beat up, but still able to roll it in. The greens are what I enjoy most,. Defiantly a challenge , with all the elevation changes. I definitely recommend it to the beginner, to the seasoned golfer.
Hello, Cheryl. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Poor service
12:04 tee time. At 11am, no carts available. Rule is single person or cart. By noon, still no carts available and they were only letting walkers out. They purposely sold tee times with carts, knowing that they did not have enough carts. Staff just said none were available, but u could walk. Push/pull carts in worse than poor condition. At the turn, had to demand carts, then staff wanted us to ride together. When asked for single carts, he said "you guys are killing me"... very upsetting...

Great coarse
This was my first time out there. The holes were raised 2 inches to avoid touching the flag and hole during the virus. It was as a nice round overall.
