Unorganized
I had an early morning tee time reserved. Showed up 15 minutes early and found a line of seven other people waiting. Apparently no one had opened the pro shop and everyone there had tee times before me. Needless to say when they finally opened, I was told there were now three groups teeing off ahead of me and they’d call my name when they were ready. I cancelled and left, not coming back
Fun! Challenging greens, many narrow fairways,
Fun and challenging. Some of the greens are super difficult. Overall, the course is a bit shorter than others so a lot of par 4 are driver and then sand wedge . But that is if you can find your drive that did not fly or roll off into a creek or a hilllside :-). Par 3 holes are fun and challenging.
Easy to lose golf balls. But that is part of the fun
Sloooow pace of play no marshalls and strange happenings
Guy in the proshop if you can call it that . A converted awning garage bay with only medium golf gloves. The one xxl was one that id expect to last two rounds. No idea why they have the merch they have unless there was some sort of leftovers. They don’t understand their customers needs. Guy was helpful and took glove out of the package. The one star is for that. He had to inspect our cart for alcohol because we drove the cart to the lot to pick up the clubs. Weird vibes. Cart gps had a fence up so we couldnt enter any fairway. Called the golf shop and they said to exchange at the turn. That helped but the guy in the cart area had no idea we were coming and came out and we had to explain why. They dont talk to their own staff. The pro shop is 10 feet from the cart area. We had a really slow pace of play due to a group in front of us playing the back tees and hitting multiple balls. Really slow. No marshall to monitor pace of play makes this course a avoid after morning times are gone. No frills as construction is going on werent sure if food or drink was avail or not. Poorly managed course . Some kind of junior event going on with 10 minutes to hit every shot furthered the slow play. There are a ton of areas close to the cart path that have never seen a blade in their lifetime. Having a slight miss or a shot that runs a little past the rough you may not find that ball unless you step on it. Fairways and greens were okayish.
Not Good!
Course was in terrible shape. Driving range was limited to a narrow slot, fairways had lots of dandelions and was hard to find your ball. Roughs were overgrown and was real easy to lose your ball. Many of the other patrons kept trying to play around us. We would get to a hole and someone would try to jump ahead of our foursome. None of them spoke english so they didnt understand us when telling them the course was backed up.
Terrible place for the price. The pro shop and resturant was closed. Had to use port-o-potties in the parking lot. NO mention of that when the round was booked. The greens had been punched and no mention of that when booking.
The only thing good about this course was the fact that it was a clear sunny day...
I do not recommend this course!
Bay View 3/16/24
The Entire 18 Holes are Cart Path Only right now. Had I known that I never would have booked this round. We started almost 20 minutes late and it took over 5 hours to play!!
Bay View aka Summitpointe
Use to play this course frequently back when it was Summitpointe, Bay View merge resulted in broken promises, all money went into clubhouse and dining and not much different with course at all. Hospitality is still great but we were 45 min behind pace all day. Understanding why it's cart path only due to hills and undulations but cart path only makes this place unattractive. Bummed but guess some enjoy it. I leave it for others.
weather issue!
On February 14th at 12:30 PM, with three friends played a round at Bayview Golf Course in Milpitas, California.
There was a forecast that it would rain, but when we started, there was only wind blowing. The cart could not enter the fairway, possibly due to a problem with the fairway condition of the golf course.
Still, although there was occasional rain until the first 9 holes, we continued to play.
However, as the second half began and after the 10th hole, it started to rain. I decided I couldn't play anymore because the club was slipping and the slope was dangerous, so I stopped around 3pm and went back to the pro shop.
And I asked the staff if they could give me credit since I couldn't play due to the rain, and they bluntly declined and said that our golf course doesn't have anything like that.
When I called the tee-off customer service center where I made a reservation, the answering machine kept answering and I couldn't resolve it by talking to the staff.
I never want to come to this golf course again, and I want to know how I can get credit for teeing off if I don't make it halfway due to weather.
The purse is playing good but wet out there and very muddy but always a god time playing here
Always a good time veen when my game gets sahib right now
Extremely hilly course very difficult in the best of conditions. Recent heavy rain made the course almost unplayable. I'll try again in the summer.
Great time
Always a good time playing here will definitely keep playing here great deals in the pro shop great food !,,,,
