Try it out
Nice coarse to get your game polished
Greens a little slow but just need some rain to make them faster
Good
Played course about 20 years ago. It has certainly matured. I remember it as very featureless. Not so now. Lots of water. Only feature missing. Alligators
Friendly Faces
Staff is courteous and friendly.
I joined up with another single and had a great time.
It’s nice to meet new and friendly people and enjoy a walk on the course!
Poor Value is Now a Poorer Value
Fairways still in poor condition and worse than every other course I have played in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. Was told at clubhouse that Golfnow bookings for this course no longer include cart fee and are walking only. Sure enough when I checked reservation this was the case. Considerer this before booking this course which is a poor value in comparison to many others even if the cart fees are included.
Below average
The fairways were in poor shape. Many under repair. If you get a very good rate it would be ok to play but otherwise go elsewhere.
Tee boxes and greens were in very nice condition however fairways were generally in poor shape with a lot of dead patches on every hole.
As a twosome we were playing quickly and of course were following a slow foursome who didn’t let us play through.
Drink cart girl was friendly and came by often.
All in all a good day golfing.
Still horrible
Two late afternoons tournaments were booked without telling evening bookings. When is the last time it took 3.5 hours to play nine holes? Yep, and even though they said they were going to enforce rules, numerous people in t-shirts golfing. Tons of dead spots in the fairways. Again, a mediocre course trying to be a country club. Nice try, you still are horrible, thanks for my longest round ever.
Could be allot better
counter staff was rude and short. He had said that carts where not included, after showing him our booking that they were, he was reluctant to give us any. Starter decided to join us (a 3some) with a single, making us a foursome, while letting the 2 guys in front of us and the 2 guys behind us go as a twosome. Course was very slow 5 1/2 hr round. the twosome behind us was driving up on us all day!! it was so uncomfortable, we quit!
Bad clientele
Figured I would try later on a Saturday to avoid the hackers and smackers. Yep, two drunks in a cart, who the cart girl kept serving, who we were stuck behind and we were walking. We caught up to them on hole four and was stuck behind them the rest of the way. Then on ten, I had a phenomenal drive, around 240 yards which rolled up on them. So what did they do, steal my ball after we waited behind them all round. Done with this place. Keep your reserved board member parking spaces and let the course get run down with idiots like this.
A farm field trying to be an elite course
The first thing you notice is the amount of reserved parking spaces for the pro, board members and "champions". Elitist activity in my opinion. Then the course is poorly maintained, lots of dead spots and the greens are worse than opening week. I was stuck behind a group of five ladies who nobody would break up because they were members, Wasted around one hour following them hack around. Spend your money elsewhere, no diversity or junior players at this place, it will die with it's aging membership.
Good Layout but Course in Rough Condition
Played May 23, 2018. I’ve played here many times over the years but this was the first time this year. Fairways are in really rough condition with lots of winter kill. Some areas it was hard to find some green grass to play on. I’m sure it will all be fine in a few weeks from now. However, the greens are in pretty good shape. Most are generous in size and roll nice and fast.
Fun course
I enjoy this course for its location. It has a good variety of par 3, 4 and 5s. The grass needs some work still but it is early in the year and it normally it super nice by mid season.
I enjoy playing here.
Good value
considering this is the driest spring on record the course was acceptable
The course was in good condition considering the time of year.
Good not great but very good value with GolfNow.com
Good challenging course with a few water holes. Not too bad if you aren't always straight off the tee box.
good value .
