Transcona Golf Club

A pretty good day. The fairways were great to hit from. Greens in good condition. Over all, if you're not expecting a PGA layout, for the money, it's worth playing. I noticed the bunkers were well looked after....a good sign! As usual, it seems most golfers there don't realize, or don't care about fixing ball marks on the green. I guess it just takes toooooo darn long to fix that little indent on the putting surface, and yet they are probably the first to complain. At any rate, I felt we got our money's worth. Thx golfnow for the great rate!!!

I played this course as far back as the seventies and it's much improved but still not a great course

living close by our group has played the course 6 times this year .. The course is in gr8 shape, the fairways are wide and the underbrush forgiving :-). The proshop staff are always friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff are VG and food is gr8.

I would be shocked if the course gets a bad review (but then again some people are never happy)

Course in great shape considering,short season & limited resources. Greg does great job. Restaurant needs better mgmt'. If I want a drink will go to the bar,
if I want food I would sit at a table waiting for a menu have walked out twice did not get service. A busy tournament restaurant was short staffed. Pace of play normally is very good.

It is a good course and we got a very good rate but they were in the midst of sanding the greens and I mean sanding, as in an inch of sand on every green.

Nice layout, some very tough holes, challenging, fast greens. Course is in great shape.

It was after a rain so the course was a little wet and slick. Most of the fairways are generous enough for the average golfer but the greens are smaller than average and some are quite guarded by sand traps and water, so a good challenge for every level of player. An enjoyable round of golf.

Considering this is the only course in my area that offers a Golfnow discount I consider it to be excellent value. Any game for under $30 with cart is a bargain in this area.

I have played this course many times over the years and will continue to do so. It is a pretty good course with a mix of holes that can be very challenging (par 3 #16). The course is always in decent shape, but i have also seen it in immaculate condition. Good value for your money!

Great course. Slow pace of play. There were only two of us and foursomes wouldn't let us play through.
Restaurant is very expensive and the food was below average in presentation and taste.

Very friendly staff

Fairways need some major seeding
Greens are very good

Carts need upgrading

Clubhouse and pro shop need to be upgraded

Enjoyed the layout very much

The course was mostly in very good condition, a few fairways under repair but the greens were excellent.

Have played many times over past years so I've seen how good this course can be. It seems to be getting a bit run down looking. Lots of fairway repair areas, muddy spots, etc.
Bottom line, its a great course for the price of a "Hot Deal" on GolfNow.

Challenging play, great greens and overall great course. Hole 14, par 3 is the signature hole.
