Old style , shorter course....greens were very good but fairways dry and hard like most local courses due to the lack of rain this summer...fun course to play esp at hotdeal rate!
Great Little Track
My first time at Gage was an up and down battle. There are some wide open spots and some tricky tight shots you need to make. The greens were in awesome shape, the fairways were good, it's mid-summer so they are drying out like most courses in the area. Staff inside was great, but no cart on the course was kind of a letdown. Fairways are very bumpy for the cart so take your time. Great course to play, you don't have to be a long hitter to enjoy it, you'll score better if you take the safe lay up. I would recommend playing this course if you haven't yet.
Great Course For the Cost
I have played the Gage now for many years and each year there are improvements to the course. This year the greens are in extremely good condition and very fast. The course recently hosted the NB Junior Championship and the NB PeeWee Championship and reviews from the players were very positive. If you are looking for a friendly atmosphere with reasonable prices you need to play the Gage. Great course, great staff, great condition and a great proshop bar area that has AC to cool down following the round and enjoy a drink.
Fast greens.....really fast.
As it was my first time on this course...had a bit of trouble of where to go...while playing....some fairways very close to others. Caught up to a foursome on the 13th ...two riding and two walking... they did not yield me to play through....no worries it was an extremely warm day and I was not really in any hurry. Great course...hope to play it again soon...thank-you.
