Great 18 for a great price
Good value always find a great deal with a cart. Favorite 18 in Portland area.
Course on edge of being too wet but still playable. Greens very receptive and putted very well for time of year.
Great course, good value
Just edging into November, so it was a little chilly but the weather stayed clear. The ground was still nice a firm. Some tee boxes were missing sand/grass mix to fix divots, so I alerted to the shop. Pace of play was great since the course had people on it but it wasn't packed, probably typically for a clear Friday in November. Course is fairly open, which is nice if you aren't hitting the fairway every time.
Excellent Day
Beautiful Fall Day, course was in excellent shape, great value through GolfNow.
Very nice course
This is a well maintained course and the staff is very friendly. The greens are fast and a little challenging. I enjoyed my round a lot.
Nice course
Normally great greens. The greens were just plugged and lots of rain so the conditions were not great. Normally this course plays really well and greens are fast. Made an eagle on this course a week prior.
Nice Course, Pricey considering the area
Went with a friend on a friday, lunchtime. Was surprised how busy it was. We got paired with another twosome - I'm not used to that except nice courses that are really busy on a weekend. It's too bad I played like a complete hacker - the other three were really good golfers. Weather was perfect, though it had been raining all week prior. The course was very soggy which didn't help my attempt to not play like a complete total duffer. I really can hit the ball pretty good, usually, i.e., not a complete total hack. The pressure of playing with others and weekend like crowdedness got me a little psyched out. Will go back and try this course again and maybe redeem myself.
GREAT Round
I always like playing this course, but finding a great deal makes it even better!
Poor Management
Let me start this off by saying Quail Valley is actually a challenging, well-maintained course. I constantly found myself tested and appreciated having to get creative with my shot selection.
With that being said, I had to give Quail Valley 1 star because of the course/pro shop management. Based on my experience I would not play Quail Valley again, nor would I recommend it to a friend, and here's why:
My buddy and I were looking to get in 18 holes on a Sunday afternoon. We had wanted to try Quail Valley for a while, but coming from Portland it was kind of out there. Luckily, we had a coupon for QV. Buy one get one. Pay for 9, play 18.
We thought this would be a great opportunity to try a new course.
We acquired the coupon through a trade show in Portland, it wasn't expired and was created by QV.
We arrived at the course, spoke to the pro shop, presented the coupon, and were good to go. After a few minutes on the range we teed off on #1 and started a very pleasant round.
Everything was going well until the turn.
As we waited to tee off at 10, the pro shop asked that my buddy check in at the counter. Apparently the course decided to go back on honoring the coupon, claiming they didn't know where it came from and gave us two choices: 1.) pay for the back nine or 2.) be done for the day
Talk about garbage customer service.
At that point we were so turned off that we just decided to call it a day.
Did we enjoy QV? Yes.
Would I play there again? No.
First time and will be back
Course was a little saturated, but in good shape. It was our first time here and we will definitely be back.
One of my best round.
Very nice weather, Friendly staffs, course condition was great. Shot 75 . Can't ask for more.
Great golf
Course was in terrific condition, staff always friendly and helpful. Beautiful setting.
Nice and challenging
There were several very challenging holes on the corse and some forgiving ones. Im not a fan of greens that have the majority of cups on slopes like they have but the greens were in really good shape.
Great Fun!
This is such a fun course to play. Greens were in good shape. Staff are always friendly and helpful. One of my favorite courses in the area.
What a pleasant round
A friend of mine played with a twosome that were very pleasant and matched our ability. The course was in excellent condition from tee to green for most of the holes. The pace was a little slow and we saw the course marshal on every third hold to keep the pace acceptable. Gave us some time to find quite a few lost balls. Great time!!
Nicholas-
I am sorry that happened, it was totally my fault. We didn't know that we had done the promotion in Feb. and yours was the first coupon we saw and that was in Sept or Oct. We had two come in all year, one a couple of weeks after yours.
If you email me your mailing address I will send you two rounds of golf so that you can give us another try....
Again I am sorry, I take full responsibility and would hope you can make it out in the future..
Thank you,
