Played 14 holes
Me and my son played the front 9 in 90 minutes then we got to the back and we're stuck behind 4 senior players, it took 90 minutes to play 4 holes. They wouldn't let us past so we jumped over a hole, played one more and had to leave. We ended up only playing 14 holes, my son (9 years old) was not happy.
Played in the rain
Couple greens still need some TLC. Some good holes. Rather wet so the blue tees played rather long. Rough is a little long in places.
Fairly nice course, very open and forgiving fairways
The course is usually not that busy. We were two and we only encounter a couple people during play (sometimes regulars catching up to us our us catching up to foursomes). People were friendly about playing through. The staff were nice and the food/drinks are reasonably prices (under $5 CAD for a beer for example). The fairways are wide open though the hills and wind can pose a challenge. There were sections of the course under repair, including the #1 green not being in use at all. Overall, a good experience.
It is a nice coarse
It was a good time.
there were no big wait time between holes everyone was moving at a good pace. I would recommend this coarse to friends.
Early Season Play
The course is still pretty wet with all the rain we have had in Nova Scotia. A couple temporary greens are being used
BUT the course is in excellent shape for May. Way ahead of Ottawa area courses at this time. Staying on cart paths
when needed on the front 9 to avoid damage to fairways is best and since the back 9 do not have cart paths you can get around this 9 with a cart if you stay along the side of fairways and take your time. Stay off wet fairways with carts
to help the crew get it in great shape. This course is still ahead of schedule for this time of year. They do a great job here. Ross, Steven, Renee and Tonya greet their guests with smiles everyday and always aim to please. Love this course.
First two Rounds 2019
Played this course Thursday and Friday May 2,3, 2019. For this early in the season, the course is way ahead of schedule. I was shocked at how dry most of the course was and the condition of the greens. Only two provisional
greens. This course will be in fantastic shape in 3 weeks. Always great value. Staff are outstanding at the Mountain Course in Truro.
Excellant
Course in fantastic shape. Great value for your money. I played here 20 times this year.
Love this course and the staff. Outstanding.
Nice but tired
The couple layout was good. The course overall was tired. Attention to detail required for ball washers. Many needed fluid/cleaning product. Cart paths where in rough shape. Sand traps had stones hard on clubs.
Pretty views. Fairways and greens in reasonable shape given our dry summer.
Has so much more potential to be better.
Great Day
On vacation; had a great day,the staff are always friendly, the course is in great shape, beat my husband, what more can I say.
Great Greens
While fairways and tees were just fair the Greens were very good, perhaps a little slow but rolled true. Layout was good with some interesting holes.especially 17. We had fun playing on a hot September day!
Poor service all the way round
Tee off was late due to course having a tournament. Gentleman at the counter said it was going to be slow, because of tournament.
We allowed enough time for the last groups in tournament to tee off. We caught up to these groups, however little did we know that management was allowing groups of six to play , we politely asked this group if we could play thru because there was only four of us. One person in this sixome become very ignorant and beligurant. By the next hole the gentlemen from the pro shop came out on golf course and told us not to bother this group and that we should call golfnow and ask for a refund as he can put out as many golfers in group that he wanted, so my question if the course couldn't take any more players then they should have removed there tee times from golfnow!!.. This man was very rude and nasty.. As for the course we only did 9 holes and it was in terrible shape!! Fairways were rock hard and barely any grass on them, the greens weren't much better . So it seems this course is only interested in getting your cash..Do yourself a favour and go to Truro golf or Brookfield..
The Mountain is always good
We have a group of 4 who enjoy the pace of this golf course. We drive 1.5 hrs each way about three times a year.
We always enjoy the round
