Golf Advisor: Top Courses in Tennessee
Played this course after a few days of rain, and the conditions were surprisingly great! A couple of beautiful par 3 holes over water and wide open fairways on the front 9. Really allows you to bomb a driver. Very friendly service and really awesome practice area. Only complaint are the blind holes. There aren't any yardage guides or hole layouts at the tee boxes which forces you to kind of guess where the green actually is. Played 9 and 3 holes on the front 9 played that way. Also, greens were incredibly slow, but most likely had to do with the weather from the previous days.
Course was in great condition with great greens. Greens are difficult to read and rarely offer a straight flat putt. I like this course and will play many more times.
Played here in a recent tourney. Course was in great shape from tee box to green. No complaints.
Always a great course....
I really appreciated the Golf Pro (serving as the Ranger) making several trips around to check on the pace of play.
Course is in excellent condition very good day a little crowded but pace of play was not bad
The course was in great shape. Greens where in excellent condition some of tee boxes need a little work, but other than that is what great. Tee time said it included range balls, but these where not provided and I didn't ask, so maybe this is my fault. Overall a great golfing experience
Very good layout...
I play a lot of courses in the Knoxville, Pigeon Forge area and this is one of my favorites...challenging yet fair....
Our favorite course.
Excellent course and the best staff. This is our favorite place to play
Due to rain the course was wet and the greens were aerated
Due to the rain, the course was wet and the greens were aerated. The person in the pro shop was friendly and helpful. The people playing behind us were very polite. The course is challenging and Very well taken care of. I look forward to playing here again.
Excellent course for the price. Fairways and greens are not great because it is winter. Still better then most
Great track, my favorite in the area
had a great day even with 20mph + winds. Greens run true and for Feb course was in good shape. With golf now discount it was a incredible value. I'll be back next week.
Any January Golf is Great!
Temperatures in the 30's rising to the low 40's made for a chilly day but the golf was good. The greens were rolling really fast and you could stop the ball on them. The bunkers had been raked and were well manicured. The balls rolled forever on the dormant fairways adding many yards to your drives. Teed off at 1:00 and were the last players on the course. Saw dozens of deer and the view of the Smokey Mountains was great! Wonderful day and look forward to coming back.
Quite simply, one of the best panoramic views in the south.. It's not a diamond as far as up keep goes. However, the atmosphere and the peacefully energy this course holds, makes it well worth it to play.. I recommend playing it on a weekend day; where one doesn't have to hurry through it.. Basically, Take time to enjoy it..
Greens are a 6 out of 10.. Not real fast, but receptive .. Not to bumpy and true..
Fairways, are a 5 out of 10.. Rough is not an issue.. At least this time of year.. All in all, average course with an well above average atmosphere. Locals were cool their too..
Outstanding course, fairways soft and greens immaculate as always. Weather was nasty, 38 and 20 mph wind, but the course was in excellent shape. We were pretty much the only ones out there, so pace of play was whatever we wanted. And at the Golfnow price of $15, it was a no-brainer.
Staff as always very professional and courteous. Pace of play 18 holes 2 hours 50 minutes. Weather man predicted 50 and sunny and we go 33 breezy and cloudy. Superintendent has left good height on dormant bermuda so good lie and footing will be all winter long. 35 on first nine holes 44 on last 9.
beautiful course and surroundings
Played 18. Started as a single. Joined 2 members on the back nine. Delightful and receptive people.
very pleased with everything !.. great condition and challenging and fun.. loved the course and would recommend to all
take time to appreciate the views
I live about an hour away from rarity Bay I look forward to every opportunity I get to be able to play there if you're a true golf enthusiast this is a must play course not only are the vistas awesome but the course conditions are always excellent and the staff is the best. I could not give him more glowing recommendation for this facility and golf course. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Rarity Bay is in great condition. The fairways and greens were as close to perfect as you can get for November. The pin placements were very challenging. Looked like a Sunday at the Masters.
With Golf Now, this course is a great deal.
Felt very unwelcomed at the pro shop. He scolded us about our outfits and then told us that he would "let" us play this time. Of course all this was AFTER he took our money.
