Amherstview Golf Club in Kingston is popular for being one of the best values in the area. This semi-private nine-hole course has a player-friendly layout that beginners can approach with confidence while still giving more experienced players a challenging, casual round. Mature trees line the fairways and though the bunkering is minimal, it is strategically placed. Water hazards come into play on four holes. The water features pose only a minimal threat but they provide some memorable holes, especially the 13th, which is the best par 3 on the golf course. A stream cuts across this uphill hole where after crossing a bridge, golfers will face a green flanked with bunkers on either side as well as trees to the back. Club selection is the key to scoring well on this hole.

Good course
Some very interesting holes; greens in very good condition. T-boxes need work - ground very hard and uneven. Bunkers in very poor condition or grown over.
Good for a quick pickup game
This is not a course I would regularly play but fits the bill for a quick last minute game
Amherstview
A beautiful day. The staff was very friendly and accepted the golf now coupon without question.... just handed me the cart keys and let me tee off 1/2 hour before my scheduled time. Excellent day!
Course conditions
We have played here before. Staff are always wonderful. Greens were in pretty good shape but the course was very dry. We had an interesting experience though. We had 2 young boys ahead of us and play was a little backed up (very little). But after 9 holes these boys asked us if we wanted to join them. For members at 12 years of age I would be honoured to be invited to play with these two again. They were polite and very concise about following golf etiquette and were they ever good. Most holes they were on the green in two shots. This was a really great experience. Amherstview golf course should be proud of how well they have taught these kids.

the course is player friendly. you would have to hit extremely bad shots to find trouble. bunkers are poor but the greens are amazing (fast and roll true). they have no ridiculous holes like some courses do. would recommend it to anyone.

Fun Course but very wet
As always Amherstview remains a fun course to play. Moderate difficulty and typically well maintained. Unfortuantely, this round had a lot of ground water thoughout the course, which made for some interesting challenges. greens were very wet and slow.
I would definitely return though as the price is reasonable and the location is excellent.

This is a really nice course at a great price.
It was an easy course with only a few difficult holes. The greens were really fast and true. The course only has basic services which is ok. I can'rt wait to play this course again when I'm in this area.

the course is in good shape for the fall they will be sanding the greens soon but with the Monday discount it is worth the trip
amazing value, everyone staff and players over the top welcoming newcomers and new golfers.
Took my son who is a beginner and everyone was offering tips along with total patience towards our flow of play. Would love to play again .
You use a driver on every hole however but thats ok , got some practice.
The pace of play can be a problem.
The course is well maintained, greens and fairways were in good shape. It is mostly wide open off the tee and quite forgiving of wayward drives, but the rough is hard to hit clean shots out of. It isn't very long, which is good for walking, and also good for players who don't have a ton of distance on their shots. The greens are in good condition and fun to putt, though I was surprised they weren't faster. I was there a couple of days after a substantial amount of rain so that may have had something to do with the speed. The only real difficulty I had is with the pace of play.
Avoid this one
the course was empty and now I know why. Snack bar closed, my cart was full of garbage and I had to clean it out. If you want to play a dog track than this course is for you.

Greens could be a little faster but overall everything was in great condition!
Nice course...not too difficult
Good course for walking...not too long or hilly. Good value for the the money.
Decent Course
If its been rainy, this is a great spot to get out and have some fun. If its been dry, expect the ball to roll an extra 75 yards because it gets pretty dry. With prices rising here, it's tough to justify playing without receiving some sort of deal. Proximity to Kingston makes it a home course for me. Staff are great and the location is nice.
OK if you get a deal
This course is decent if you can get it for a deal. Course is good for a high handicapper. Conditions ok, nice and green, but wet in places and bunkers in rough shape. I would only play if I get a discounted rate
Great coarse for the price.
We really enjoyed playing at the Amherstiew Golf and County Club. The staff was very friendly and the coarse was great for the price. I would recommend both GolfNow and Amherstview to people.

walker friendly, good layout, fun to play.
Heard they had trouble last season with the drought. Played this spring and the pro told me they have more water this season and the course shows it. Looks great. It's been a wet spring though....might have to play it again this summer. I have a good feeling though.
Medium length course, Fun to play.
Course is in good condition for how early it is in the season. I enjoy playing this course with it's variety of holes.
Easy course, reasonable greens, terrible fairways, lacks character
The is course was hit hard by the dry summer.
Fairways are awful - dead.
They had to remove a number of trees to preserve water, which made a course with little character into a course with no character.
Lastly, overall this course is too easy with only three tees and no difference between the blue and white tees.
Only reasonable feature of this course are the greens.
YET - on discount this course remains fair value for money. :)
