Nice course but
We booked last week for today, paying top dollar and upon arrival found out the front nine was being aerated and sanded and we had to start on the back nine which had just been aerated and sanded. We have enjoyed this course in the past but we were disappointed we were not informed prior to paying the full price.
Unfortunately you have customers. So sorry that’s the case.
Sorry guys, didn’t mean to inconvenience you by playing your course. Pro shop staff are just mean. Why work at a golf course if you don’t want to? There’s other jobs out there. Don’t book a twilight time - they just want your money and to have you play as few holes as you can. Tell you to be back at the club house by 730 - sunset isn’t for another 15 minutes - or one hole of play time... if there weren’t 4 groups on the first tee when your scheduled tee would time was. Courses like this just hurt the game of golf. If you don’t want to run a course sell to someone who does.
Very challenging course
Ever since I first played here, I've loved this course, as it's very different from all the others. As others have outlined before, this is a not a course for high handicaps or learner golfers, as there are a lot of longer ( 200yd) carries over deep valleys and the greens are very challenging.
This course will eat you up if you make mistakes, so bring your best game.
☆☆☆☆plus
Very nice but not easy course to play.
Dimending but injoable. Whish that l could say something better about rest of Golf north owned courses which are 100% RIP OFF.
Lovely and challenging
First Par 6 I’ve ever played! Not easy for anyone intimidated by gulleys filled with scrub. Being extra balls for a few of those holes. Otherwise a fun course to play first time.
Stunning Course
Stunning course, extremely well maintained. You need to be able to launch a decent drive on most tee blocks over large ravines. Not for the weekend warrior who tops their drives; stick to easier courses. Pace of play was average, one group was two holes behind because they were struggling with the course difficulty. Greens were undulating and make it easy to miss even short putts. Good luck!
Mystic golf course
Great and challenging course and in great condition
Would recommend this to anyone who is a good golfer but not for high handicap people as it is tough and long
Beautiful Course/ Weak Management
On arrival, nothing is done to make you welcome as a player/guest.
This is beautiful well laid out course , with the exception of #10 (par 6).
The biggest issue at Mystic is the lack/absence of course management. There is no marshal working to move slow groups forward or having proper paced groups play through very slow ones . The groups in front of us spent all kinds of time searching in the rough/fescue for lost balls. This should not be allowed.
Poorly run
Disappointing to see a great course ruined by poor management. We showed up early to hit balls before our round, only to find out ”we close the range on Wednesday's ”, really? We had to play the back 9 first due to maintenance. The greens were pretty fast and the course is in good shape, on the back... We start the back 9 and greens aerated, furry, pins in the wrong place according to the chart, and no marshalls to monitor the slow play. It looks like the inmates are running the asylum, as management has no clue how to run a course...sad.
