Gleneagle Golf Course
About
Gleneagle Golf Course in Arlington is just an hour north of Seattle. The 5,949-yard, par-70 layout may seem relatively short, but it's a course that will test your shot making skills and accuracy with strategically placed bunkers and undulating greens. The layout makes up for any lack of length in many other ways, including the treacherous rough that lines the rolling fairways. Water hazards come into play as well, but there are more on the front nine than the back. There are some challenging holes but overall, players of all skill levels will enjoy the golf course, especially with its backdrop of cedar and fir trees spread across rolling hills. With a driving range also available, Gleneagle offers one of the area's best values for the money.

Cut some grass!?!!
We made a tee time for late morning at a give-away price of $16 walking, $28 with a cart. The drive into the course was pretty against a backdrop of nice homes and well kept streets. The clubhouse is very nice and the staff pleasant.
We checked in for our 18 holes and bought a bucket of balls and proceeded to an extremely neglected, irons-only, driving range to warm up.
I tee'd off the first hole, down the middle of the fairway but could not find my ball in the long grass. The 1st fairway is dry and I saw the ball bounce so I don't think it plugged. I was pleasantly surprised by excellent greens.
After losing 3 balls in the next 8 holes and holding up the group behind us while searching the fairway, we decided not to play the back nine under the current course conditions. Tall grass in the fairways, clumps of grass clippings in even taller grass just off the fairway.
The homes around the course are beautiful with well kept yards. The greens are perfect. It's too bad the tee boxes, fairways and grounds are in such bad shape.
Wet & muddy
Greens were fabulous. Unfortunately, the fairways were were so wet, muddy and difficult to play. Lots of great features and interesting moguls, hazards, and staircases. Once the course dries out, conditions should improve. Awesome clubhouse with wonderful service..
Good for Jan. 1!
We were looking for a quick golf fix on New Year's Day and have had a mild start to winter in the PNW. This came up and was a fun day. Not a long course but demands good shotmaking!
Great value
Glen Eagle is a lot of course for the money. For winter, greens rolled nicely. Tight course- main downside is that G.E. is not a slicers friend. I was paired with a couple guys who were fun to golf with, but one them hit no less than three homes (sounded like the balls hit a roof) and even went over a house into the street off one of the tee boxes! No fault of the course, but if you tend to have a banana slice, you may tag a roof once or twice. Personally, I like this course and the folks that run it.
This course has potential
Interesting and challenging holes across the board. Lost a few balls that plugged in the middle of the fairways. Sand traps need some revitalization. Very nice personnel here!!!

A casual course that offers a fearful front 9.
The course offers a casual and fun golfing experience. Players will strong fades, cuts, and slices should be careful, houses run along the fairway and the rough on some holes is the backyard of a pensioner. Drainage seems to be a problem in bunkers with a few being small water hazards. Greens and Fairways are clear and thats what matters, Fun time for all levels of golfers.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our golf course. We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience caused by the close proximity of houses and drainage issues in the bunkers. We're glad to hear that you still had a fun and enjoyable time on our greens and fairways.
Fun course, good value
Greens were in great condition, which was nice especially for late summer. Course was short with some interesting layouts. Tee boxes were not in good shape and bunkers didn't have enough sand in them. Had to take relief from the bunkers as they were unplayable. Would come back again with hot deals, but please fix the bunkers.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our golf course. We apologize if the course length did not meet your expectations, but we are glad to hear that you had a fun day and enjoyed the challenge of the shotmaking required. We appreciate your feedback and hope to have you back on the course soon.
