Too Bad you won't make the effort to play it...

The only course to be used as a US Open qualifier outside of the USA. Two words can describe this course "Big Land"... Many "blind" shots off the tee followed by long second shots to the greens. Wayward shots off the tee will result in difficult shots out of plush, thick rough or even worse, well maintained fescue. Novice golfers need not apply... But if you're in the Toronto area, and you are willing to travel 30 - 40 mins north, then you owe it to yourself to challenge yourself to one of the top 10 courses in Canada.

Among the Best

Such a picturesque course, but sneaky tough. Lots of decision making, some of the hardest par 3s in Canada, and lightning fast greens.

Really two courses in one. As the other reviewers have mentioned, the front is heavily wooded with big elevation changes. Back 9 is links style. Both are beautiful in their own way, with a premium on shot making on both nines.

Course is always in immaculate condition and a premium is placed on access to the tee. If your round takes longer than 3 1/2 hours walking, you've been hard done by!

A well kept secret in the GTA, but that will change. Hosted the first US Open qualifier outside of the US in 2017.

Augusta and St. Andrews in Canada

Service was impeccable being a private course. People working at the venue are friendly and attentive. "In-cart Service" - granted we were playing as the season is ending and the greens were under maintenance. The Course conditions top notch and grounds are still immaculate. If you are lucky to be invited to play this course - say yes!

Top class

One of the nicest courses in Greater Toronto. You can feel it as soon as you enter the grounds. Pristine bunkers, elevation changes, tactical water hazards.

Excellent practice facility. Great clubhouse area overlooking 1st & 2nd holes. Strong smell of pine reminds you how remote this course is.

Front nine might be the nicest in Canada, and was enhanced when the 6th hole was converted from a short dogleg into a drivable par 4. Clearly Beacon is positioning itself for a Canadian Open. Back nine has less trees, and thus adopts a links feel, but some crafty fescue and bunkering makes it very interesting. Also a little easier to let fly with your driver.

Top holes: 4th & 18th are stellar.
