A Challenge
With some long uphill par 4’s, the course is a challenge but far from overwhelming
Conditions were excellent
Thoroughly enjoyed the round
Solid course
Nice track. Straight forward. Well maintained. The greens are very true. Extremely well organized. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Tight fairways make this course challenging
Pace of play was a bit slow on the Lakeland nine but much better on Middle. Course is fun to play but if you spray it with the driver you’ll need to bring some extra golf balls or tee off with a different club on the tighter holes. I didn’t score very well but still had a great day at Westview.
Love Westview
I hadn't played here in years and had heard the course wasn't in good shape. Not true at all. Fairways and greens were in terrific condition. Only negative I can say is the starter was a tad on the miserable side and rude.
Not friendly or helpful at all. Other staff were great, especially the girl in the clubhouse. Very pleasant. I don't recall her name. Other than the rude starter, it was a great day.
La Grande Dame
Westview is always a pleasure to visit. The rolling terrain, variety of holes , big trees and wonderful views are impressive.
Fairways have struggled a bit this year due to a 3rd party ( road construction) power disruption to irrigation pumps in mid July heat wave, but have come around pretty well now it’s November.
The large undulating greens rolled well as anywhere.
It’s a challenging course requiring long tees shots and pretty long approaches also.....no gimme holes here.
Looking forward to visiting the grand ol’ gal again next year.
Great cours(s)
Played as a walking solo, on a cool wet fall day. Can't say to much about pace of play or staff as I didn't see anyone other than at the clubhouse area. Love this course and the fireplace they have going on fall days too.
Would be good if they opened up books for walking solos more often, and I'd go there more often.
