True greens, Nice people.
We had the pleasure of being paired up with "the greens keeper's wife". She offered great insight when it came to distances and site lines and was cheerful and patient with us. (Not to mention a better golfer than us) There are a ton of bunkers here so we were greatfull for the tips. There wasn't a lot of wind so the course didn't play too difficult but I can certainly see how maybe the next time I may not be as lucky. The greens were perfect and fast. A distance Finder is helpful here to navigate around the sand traps. I will certainly be back for the Scottish links feel and friendly staff.
Awesome. But hard!!!
Third time around this track, a slightly windy day can make it very tough out in these links. Deep pot bunkers and uneven fairway lies create a very unique challenge compared to most courses in southern Ontario. At this price point its a must play. I hope they upgrade their pro shop/19th hole area in the future but does not take away from the beauty of this course.
Phenomenal Course!
This is one of Canada's best courses, and still somehow one of the best kept secrets in many ways. The rates are phenomenal, the course is always in great condition, and it takes you away to another place and time. The pace of play is always great. I've never had to wait a prolonged period for any hole, even on a weekend and with a full course. It's a great layout that is sure to challenge any level of golfer.
winter golf
We had a good time since its our second time out this year,Friendly staff but the weather and course condition wasnt the greatest abd hey its march golf lol,we didnt have big expectation,The ground was stil wet to walk on most of the holes but we will be back in the future😂😁
March golf
This course is always a must play. One of the nicest,if not the nicest links style courses in Ontario. To play in March is a bonus. The course was dry. Greens were a little bumpy, but hey, it's March 3rd. The greens here in the summertime are fantastic. It's a bit of a drive from Kitchener, but it's worth it. I play here at least 5-10 times a season. Not much for a clubhouse with all the extras, but it's the golf I come here for. The staff here is always friendly and welcoming. Great shot value here.
Winter golf
For playing on March 2nd the greens and course were in excellent shape. Love the course and layout.
If you want a true links experience this is it! Never disappoints.
February golf
Great track!!! Great condition for the winter. Greens were far and above expectations. Wish it was closer to home but definitely worth the trek
5.25 hours to play
Started early then hit a wall waited on every hole for the two groups in front to move on. At one point there was 4 groups waiting on a par 3. No rangers in sight.
Need to get some additional help to keep things moving.
Hard as a rock
With all the rain we have had over the season I could not believe how dried out tee boxes areas around greens were. Forget plastic tees and even breaking wood one trying to get in the ground the whole place was rock hard an worker joining are twosome for his free round was ok but geese man this place ain't the old course Scotland like you talked up like it was. Lol no rush to go back for sure
Green not fast
The ranking of this course with Scoregolf jumped from 59 to 32. I was wondering what have changed to bring this big raise. Actually there is nothing. The club house was the same. the course condition is slightly worse on the day I play: Green was super fast and firm when I played a couple of years ago. That's no longer the case, the green speed is a bit faster than average. The sand in bunkers is abundant, but it's not white, rather dark sand.
Links in SW Ontario
Great track in great condition. Would have been nice to have 1/2 way hut open. Thirsty!
