Horseshoe Highlands- High Quality!
This course has always been a decent track in an area where people have a significant amount of choice.
The course was in great condition with the greens only showing minor neglect from other golfer divett marks.
Value was fantastic with the added online discount!
A fair challenge
We played from the blues at approx. 6300 yards. Most holes were interesting and challenged your shot-making abilities. A few tight holes make choosing the right club off the tees essential. I would play this course again.
Highlands
Hello My name is Jack it was my first time I played on this coarse at horseshoe highlands my brother in law and myself the coarse was in good condition and most challenging. I find the coarse is too much cut up with all the housing surrounding the coarse but overall the outlay of the coase itself is good design. Jack
Very Nice
A great course, challenging and very pretty. I will play again for sure,
Highlands is in fantastic shape right now
have always liked this course and yesterday was a good day to check it out again after a lengthy absence from it. happy to report the course is in great shape both fairways and greens and despite the fact that they no longer have any marshalling on the course, we never had to wait long to tee it up. I imagine this could be a problem on the weekends when traffic would be heavier.
first time
First time at the course. The front nine is much better then the back. Fairways are in good shape and greens where tricky
Newbe golfer loved this course
Beautiful course, staff were helpful and friendly and weather was awesome! Course was challenging and the sand traps were calling my name, there were plenty of them, but I really enjoyed playing here. I did lose a few balls along the way so make sure you bring extra. I would definitely go again!
Course
Great course layout, no 2 holes alike, it was a great experience. Club cleaning at end of round was a nice touch
Overall nice course
Course was fine, staff was ok, not great but ok. Tee boxes were generally pretty good, a couple could use some work, fairways were fair, some rough spots, and greens were generally good, pretty true and in good shape esp. with the winter we had.
Lots of local players, many retirees, the couple we were paired with both played very well and the pace of play overall was fine.
Never disappoints
From signing in,to the practice range,to the starters hut, nothing but excellent! Compliments to the course staff on the condition.Nothing was out of place. The drinks cart lady oddly arrived just when we thinking.......we need a beer after ANOTHER BOGEY!!
Really another fun and relaxing round at this course . I think this is one of Barrie's hidden golfing gems.
Oh, have some of the wings after the round. They are GOOD.
House keeping neede
All I will remember from this outing was the very poor condition of the sides of tee boxes, disintegrating cart paths, the closeness of fairways and general maintenance of the layout. Not sure if the resort is really bothered with this track. It certainly looks like housing is earmarked for this land. The pub afterwards was the highlight!!! Burgers that I have ever seen.looked awesome
Fabulous Golf Experience!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The course is in great shape and was challenging, especially the greens! I would certainly rank this course very high and will plan to return.
The course was picture perfect
The course was in great shape for the amount of rain the day prior. The pace of play was perfect, no rush, and finished in under 4 hours. We are definitely going back.
course with elevation and wind
I thought the course was in good shape with a scenic layout. Greens a little slow and hard to stick a ball. At ninety-five for prime time way too steep! They won't even throw a bucket of practice balls in ------seriously---- it's just a round at a little over average course ----- stop the nickel and dime.
Excellent Course
The course was beautiful and in great shape. The staff was friendly and the weather was excellent. Perfect day of golf!
The course was in great shape
I have played this course before but first time this year. The weather conditions were poor but the course was in great shape both fairways and greens. Nobody on the course because of the weather so the pace of play was what we made of it. Would like to come back in the Fall. The colours would be spectacular.
go play it
the staff is great
and it a fun place to play up north

Put this on your bucket list
I took my 5yr old daughter out for her first time on a golf course and the staff could not have been more accommodating to make her experience enjoyable. The overall course was in amazing shape and the beverage cart was on point with refreshments. Well done Highlands! I now have a daughter aspiring for the LPGA :0)
A good experience as always
In excellent condition in spite of the heavy rain earlier in the week. Greens were slower than usual but that was to be expected with the rain they absorbed. They were likely too soft to cut. A great layout.
Worth the Buck
All you need to play this course is great weather, the rest takes care of itself.
