Not Worth the $$
Bought a round for 50$. Cart was another 26. Plus the govt fee. All in all just over $86.
Not worth 86. Course is in good shape considering the hot weather. Greens inconsistent with speed.
For $90 you can play North Granite Rodge with a cart at the same time of day.
You can play Bond Head South/North.
Higher end courses for the same price.
Good to see beverage cart on the course. So nice job there. Food after the round was good.
Anmenities difficult obviously with the covid restriction.
But no way should settlers be this expensive.
Great Golf
This course is a lot of up and down large hills and is challenging to walk but a very good course. If you hit the long grass your ball will be a challenge to find!
Great Day of Golf
Overall this course is a must play. It’s laid out nicely for all skill levels and value for the money is quite good. Our one complaint was the group ahead and lack of marshalling. They were slow all back 9 may have been the beer they had on the cart but following 17 while the group of 4 shotgunned two beers each we waited for tee off. I get this is a public course and I will return but I encourage the course to keep an eye on these activities and they were out of control and dangerously wild off the tee.
It was an excellent day. Pace of play was right on time. Staff were freindly. Course was in good shape. Good spacing between golf groups. Teed off at booked time
Nice but didnt appreciate people teeing of 10 and slowing the game
Nice , course , greens were real good. The directional signs from hole to hole were very poor and in 2 instances led us right into other players hitting. extremely disappointed that we played the front 9 in 1 hour and 50 minutes and the back nine in 2 hours and 42 minutes. Groups were filtered into the 10th tee in front of us. Very annoying at many points had 3 and even 4 groups on one hole. For this reason we would not go here again and would recommend friends think about it as well. Way too much money for my wife and i totally $151.00 dollars for 2 with a cart. This type of tactic does not appease golfers who can identify it.
The ghost
Very well thought out course
You need to play it at least twice to get aiming points on the blind shot holes
Great views and elevation changes.
Not overly long but very tight fairways and some small greens make it very challenging.
Great round opf golf at Settler's Ghost
Got a great rate from Golfnow. Check in with the new COVID rules went well and the staff were very helpful. Starter and Marshal helped with some great tips for the course. Course conditions were excellent on both the fairways and the greens. Best I've seen here. Pace for the round was pretty consistent and we on ly waited 2 or 3 minutes at the most at tees.
Great company great golf, couldn't ask for better.
Wonderful round of golf
Staff upon check-in were very helpful with the new COVID system required. Starter and Marshal were helpful with many pointers. Course was in excellent condition. Greens were not too fast and easier to read.
Overall it was a great day at Settler's Ghost.
Overcharged for cart during pandemic.
Nothing wrong with the course but a big advantage to know where to hit your tee shots. Had quite a few drives that I thought were great only to find the ball in thick rough. Biggest reason for downgrading the rating was because the Pro Shop charged us $30/ cart to ride separately during the pandemic trying to physical distance. Other courses in the area are not doing this. "Gouging "
Extremely Disappointed
We have golfed at Settlers Ghost many times in the past but probably will not return. Very disappointed to learn upon arriving at the course that we each had to pay extra for a cart (social distancing). We don’t feel that this was clearly outlined on the booking page. Settlers Ghost is NOT a $90 per round course. Also, the booking page is awkward at best - I was quite willing to Pre-pay for all 3 rounds when booking for a saving of $5 per round, but was unable to do so. Also, my family had a medical emergency while we were playing and it took 7 calls before any staff member at the course could be contacted to pass on notification to us ( as a courtesy we turn off our cellphones or leave them in our vehicles while golfing). All in all a frustrating, overly expensive experience.
