Aeration Disappointment
First off, Capitol City Golf is normally a great place to play. Pace of play can be very slow at times though. Today the course was fairly empty due to the aerofication of the greens. My foursome still took 4 hours and waited many times on the tee box for 10 minutes for the group in front. Today they aeroated the greens without any notice on their website or GolfNow. The young man tried to appear surprised that no notice was on their website but as of 4 p.m there still is no notice. Driving range was limited to under 100 yes but no notice when you buy a bucket but the nice little sign near the practice range lets you know after you pay. I find it very unprofessional for the management not to alert customers there facility's will be diminished but they expect full price. I understand the work needs to be done and the course will return to a great facilty when done, just saying a little professional courtesy. Imagine buying tickets for a Seahawks vs Rams and driving to the stadium and find out no returns and two high School football teams will be playing. As a last note, Eagles Price Golf Course had an alert before making reservations that the course has been aeroated.
Customer service
Joe the cashier in the Pro shop was very friendly while being very professional about getting things moving along even got us off a little early
Great local course
Capital City is an amazing course to play. Great value and well laid out. You can’t beat it!
Capitol City Golf Course
The course was in excellent shape. We were late getting off the tee due to a scramble. If I had known that there was a tournament going on, I wouldn't have booked the team time. I was only able to play nine holes.
Excellent course for the money
The course was in great shape. Worth stopping by to play.
For once!
We actually played nine hole in 2 hours - an amazing feat for this golf course!!!! Of course it was 7 am on the morning of July 4th so go figure
Capitol City Golf Course
I got a Tee time at 12:30pm. I tee'd off right on time.
It was good pacing up till the last hole 18. Other than that it was smooth sailing.
The course was in wonderful condition. Greens were challenging but in good shape... no complaints!
I really enjoyed my time there.
Only issue I had was that they Club's address doesn't show on GPS.
Kindly always,
Nicholas
Really a fun course to play - it’s in great shape - can’t wait until the nx opportunity

Nice summer course
Staff was great and tbey worked me in last minute. Pace was good and tbe course provides chances to open up and some challenging doglegs.
Watch out
This course is dry and dangerous. The rough grabs and won’t let go. The fairways are lean and mean. But most dangerous are the greens. When the pins are placed near the edges u r in trouble. They r true but they r fast. If u don’t get the hole in the way of ur putt it might a chip for ur next strokes.
fun
fun to play, great course conditions. really fast green which makes putting challenging but that is how green should be.
we had great time.
SPRING AEROATION
Capitol City Golf course is an outstanding place to play especially when it has been wet as it is one of the best in draining. They recently aeroated the greens so today they were a bit bumpy and slow. With weekend rain they will be great in a few more days. Wish there had been a notice on GolfNow before making reservation. Do not use yellow balls for the 1st or 9th hole as they tend to get littered
with range balls. The on-site restaurant is an excellent place to get a cool drink and food. Will certainly be back again.
Greens sanded
They punched and sanded greens this week so greens need a week to get back to excellent condition. Overall course is in good shappe..
Lots of roll
As usual the course was in good condition, lots of roll in the fairways. Biggest issue was the greens where punched and sanded (suprisingly still rolled with decent pace) but was not notated anywhere prior to the round or during booking.
Great winter coarse
Capital City is always a favorite for winter and off season play. The coarse is in good condition and rates are very reasonable. They are punching the greens today so it will be a week or two before they are good to play on. The food in the Fireside Grill is above average and the golf staff are friendly and helpful. The coarse is challenging with tree trouble along most fairways.
Hi Michael,
Yes, you are right. We had a large scramble tournament that went way later than expected. It was the first time we've had this group and I will make appropriate adjustments for next year. I would love to take care of your next round with us so you can experience the fun we have at Capitol City Golf Club. Please contact Steve and your next round for you and your friend are on me. Thanks so much for the review.
