Rochester Place Golf Club

Course was busy with a best Ball tournament going on, we went off early and pace of play was slow. Did not know about the best ball tournament going on until the 3rd or 4th hole. We were actually in the middle of it.
While waiting on the 14th hole to tee off the group behind us flipped a golf cart while driving up towards our tee block, they were drunk and rowdy. I called the club house to let them know because we had not seen a marshal the entire day. They came out and spoke with them however they were allowed to continue on playing.
We had enough and left after finishing up on 14.
Wasted day and money.
Very disappointing after driving almost 2 hr's to play this course.

Played Rochester for the first time. Was pleasantly surprised with the amenities and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Great round and day overall.

It was a last minute decision to play golf that day. We booked a tee time for the early afternoon and it turned out to be a beautiful sunny afternoon. The front nine was a little slow, but things picked up on the back nine. We played the round in under four hours. We were able to attack the pins, as the greens were holding very well.

This is what I would call a lower tier course. Conditions are actually quite good, layout is very poor. Lipstick on a pig, you know the rest. Would be a nice place for high handicappers to hone their skills, or family outings. Not a course for the serious golfer. A ranger is needed to keep things moving along.

I played here with a friend who had played the course a couple times before. Other than a little water on the course from heavy rain the day before, and a couple spots still showing signs that they were under repair early this year or late last year, the course was in excellent shape. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Great facilities. I will play again.

RP is improving with the work of the new owners. Greens were smooth and fast (especially compared to most in area). Still has a lot of holes 360-390 yards, so playable for most but not to much excitement. Can always have a fun day RP!

you can tell they are focusing on improving the course. it is in very good shape. play is still a little on slow side, a marshall is badly needed.

Enjoyed the course very much.Can play real tough from tips.If wind is up coming off the lake will affect your shots greatly.

Pace of play was very slow, even though hardly anyone on the course. We were a twosome, played behind a foursome. They obviously don't know golf etiquette.Nobody in front of them. No rangers at this course.We booked 18 holes with cart on Golfnow, but had to walk because of wet golf course. No refund was offered, but a pull cart was given. It was a young adult who had no knowledge or permission to give us a partial refund.

Courseis in excellent condition. Good combination of different club selections and shot types. Excellent greens.

The wife and I golfed here and ate here . Had a Good Experience .If it's your first time , I suggest a device that has distances to hazards as there are Ponds and Creeks to cross or buy some extra balls ( LOL )

this course has come a long ways played it years ago no comparison nice fairways now ongoing updates to course in progress and has some challenging greens

The day was great,the coarse was interesting and the greens were great except the holes wouldn't,let my balls go in!

Second time playing the course. For November the course was in great shape, greens were cut and rolled. Would play there again anytime.

Rochester G.C making great strides to improve the condition of the golf course. Additional changes are on there way as I understand and i look forward to seeing them.
If they can keep their rates reasonable in 2014, they will attract a more consistent customer base.

Challenging course for not a very long one. Lots and lots of doglegs. Driver not really needed here because of all the trees. Accuracy is key on this course. Strategic layups required on some holes. The greens were in good condition for November and were pretty quick. Greens are pretty slopey and challenging.
