Everything was good except the price
Golf ($34, fees plus taxes , total $60) I could done the same thing with the golf course for $58 , what’s the savings ?
Round @ Southbrook
Course in good shape, greens were in great shape. Pretty busy but the pace was good, no waiting.
Save your money!
Both times playing here on my day off work, the grounds keepers drove their lawnmowers right next to us while we were trying to tee off or putt. Very unprofessional. Very frustrating considering the price. Not playing here again.
Meh
First time playing here, don’t think we’ll be back. Greens were more pockmarked than Bryan Adams’ face, fairways also in rough shape in many places.
Nice course with friendly staff
Played this course first time enRoute to Niagara Falls. Very good condition with good fairways and true greens plus nice layout. Super friend staff. Definitely will play again next time.
It's good enough.
I would say for the price they charge it's a good enough course. Some tricky layouts with fairways that have water and other hazards cutting them 2 or 3 times. The back nine has some tight windows as well that will challenge you. If I lived closer I might play again but it's not going to be in my regular rotation.
Excellent greens condition
A nice course to play. Many holes required a good drive to setup for the approach shots.
Great Course, Great Staff
Always love playing Southbrook. Home town course and would recommend it to anyone. Great conditions and friendly staff. Can’t beat it!
Good value
course was good. Dreens were excellent. Staff allowed a 6 some to play together while made the round extremely slow. The Marshall finally did something on the 12th hole.
Excellent Day
A great day at a little gem.
Arranged golf for 4 foursomes and had an awesome day at this little gem not far from GTA West. Course is wide open and forgiving but still challenging for better golfers.
The staff were so helpful and so polite happened to meet the owner and he was amazing - they own Beechwood in Niagara Falls now I will definitely take our group there!! Thanks Ian and team for a truly great day!! Drinks and dinner on patio was amazing!!
Nice early round
Pace of play was pretty good at just under 4 hrs. We started at 6:30 am. Nobody pushing us and we waited a couple of times during the round. No big deal. Course is very dry, but it’s been very hot for a few weeks. Most courses in the same boat. Tee blocks could use some work. They are using the hook on the pin to lift the balls out of the cups. Minimal traps and nobody in our group played out of them to comment on quality. All in all we paid $58 with cart. Will probably be back once this heat wave leaves our area.
South brook golf
All good a little dry due to weather(understandable) no beer cart didn’t understand that stupid hot... friendly staff and quick round for a Sunday..4 hrs..play every year will be back.. Covid messing with everybody
Course so fry and terribly slow
Played July 2nd, course was packed, not really sure why but conditions were terrible, dry, patchy, sprinklers were on in number 2 fairway, had to jump around to hit but got cooled off anyway. Areas where dirt piles are.? Played here many times over the last 10 years, worst conditions i have seen , save your money....was a better layout when number 11 was the par 4... layout changes make it too congested....
More fun than fancy
They were going through a bit of a dry spell and had the sprinklers on at the tee boxes which was inconvenient otherwise nice course and fun play
Yardage just right from the forward tees now!
Before, the newer red forward tees were initiated, I felt Southbrook played too long for the average woman golfer. Now it's just right and still a challenge. The slope and rating are fair as well. The Covid precautions were well done, especially the innovation for retrieving the ball from the hole without touching the flagstick. Tee times were well spaced out. Carts had dividers if two rode together but also ample carts for single riders. Proper spacing was provided in the clubhouse. After round food was delicious on the patio which had just opened for dining with proper spacing. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly.
