Great Round at the South course
A great round at Bond Head - South Course. The weather was awesome and the early start was definitely a bonus. Typical links style course with a great deal of elevation changes. Up and downhill fairways and approaches. Well placed bunkers, but the aspect that made this course the most challenging was the greens. They were well kept and rolled very true and fast. Too often was a putt for birdie ended up as a putt for bogey. Very challenging.
Layout was awesome and the employees at the course did a great job of informing our twosome of the amenities and opportunities to score well. I will definitely return to this course.
Brown fairway, rude starter
Most if not all fairways are brown. Staff at the clubhouse mentioned there was a sprinkler issue that prevented proper watering. Not worth the money for such condition, possibly the driest fairways I’ve played this year so far. We drove our balls into the tall rough in the back nine, the starter was done his shift and was playing with another man right behind us, when he saw us looking for our balls in the rough from the previous green, he used very expletive language on us. I have seem my share of rude staff on the course, this guy went out of his way to make sure the guests are thoroughly insulted. Well done!
Course needs some work
The course needs some work. Fairways were very dry. Many sand traps were unplayable due to water, weeds or lack of sand.
The course has a great feel, but for the price you would expect better playing conditions.
This may explain the lack of other players in the course - which was the best thing about the course.
Very difficult course
Only for pros. Not a course for even a 10 handicap. Some par 4s are more vertical than long. Bunkers were very poorly maintained and weedy. There are definitely better choices in the area
Great course
Played summer 2021 and the place was pretty rough… bunkers completely abandoned. Happy to say the conditions have and are improving. Bunkers are being renovated and the course just looks better again.
Great day
We had a great day at Bond Head playing the South course. My only feedback is that we shouldn’t have to pay for range balls on a track like this at this price point.
Bond Head South
Was a great day. Course was very nice. Lots of course work happening at the time of our tee off but still had no problems.
Bunkers could use some love but ultimately a great course.
Had a great day. Came on as a single and played with 3 others and had a great time.
Coarse was getting dried out and a few burned patches. Nice to see they are working on the bunkers and putting money into the coarse. Glad that rounds are down and at a better pace of play.
This course has gone downhill
This course used to be one of my favorite in the city and well worth the long drive from downtown. Apparently the course sold last year and the new owners have not done a good job maintaining the course. half of the bunkers are overrun with weeds, and the rough around the greens is in terrible conditions. Disappointing to see this course becoming a shell of what it once was.
Bondhead has gone downhill fast
$120 ??? This course should be $30 with the condition it’s in. Used to be a premium track but they have let everything go and they are still charging this rate
Attention to detail.
Staff must pay attention to condition of bunkers...they are an integral part of s golf course.
