About
Editor's Note: Anderson Park course at Borden Golf Club was closed for business in 2017. See CFB Borden Golf Club - Circled Pine listing for the remaining opened 18-hole.
Borden Golf Club offers one championship course and also a nine-hole course. Anderson Park, the nine-hole course, was the club's original layout when it opened in 1917. The golf course has a links-style layout that is 3,209 yards from the back tees. There are more par 5s, four to be exact, on the course than par 4s or par 3s. The greens and fairways are well manicured and there are some rough areas. The golf course provides a fair challenge that is accessible to juniors, but also appealing to players of all skill levels mostly due to the very reasonable rates. A military discount is also available.

One Of, If Not The Best, Courses In The Area
CFB Borden's surviving golf course, and it is a beauty. An impressively challenging 18 that offers everything from bunkers to pond/river water hazards. Conditions are very well maintained, the have an exceptional Club House Staff (and instructors), and the kitchen offerings are absolutely delicious.
You're "Bang-For-Buck" is surprisingly good for this type of course and is well worth your time.
Early spring conditions but still enjoyable
Played yesterday on what MAY have been the first day the course was open for play. As such, certain aspects weren’t quite “ready for prime time” but in fairness, the same likely can be said for every other course in the area — greens were still recovering from aerating (close, but not quite); a few soggy areas on the course; no garbage cans or ball washers; a couple bunkers missing rakes. Overall, though, an enjoyable round on a course I like and am familiar with.
Hidden Gem
Twentfive years ago I would play 80 plus games a year on this course as a member but I have not played it for ten years. I was so pleased to see that it is still in excellent condition and provides a great day of golf. It is a shot placement course and very fair to those who understand that.
The general public is mostly unaware that one does not need to be a member of the military to become a member at this course. Additionally, access to Base Borden is as simple as driving in - no iD checks to get to the course.
Great value!!!
Well worth the money
Base Borden is a Federally owned course that is very well maintained. There are several challenging holes including a couple of long par 4's. The signature hole is probably the 15th which is not only visually stunning but offers the player the choice of "going for it" on the second shot or playing short of the hazard. The green is devious with a wicked slope from front to back.
Be aware -All the green are fast and require caution when putting.
Saturday rate was a little expensive but the course is good, wide open fairways, many little "moguls" down the fairway. Was going to eat lunch but was no one to greet us or take our order so we left and went to an nearby restaurant.
Great course
Fun course to play, I've played it 18-20 times this summer. Always properly maintained and overall great quality greens. Excellent price if your military or veteran.
Beauty day
Course was in great shape although with the amount of rain we've had this year all courses should be in great shape. Greens are in good shape and are really fast. I would definitely recommend this course
Nice course
Very good conditions despite the amount of rain received, the price through golfnow was excellent
The course it's self is ok but not worth the price they charge. Full price rounds with a cart is around 80 bucks it's more of a 40-50 dollar course. When booking on this app you only pay a small part of the fee and get taxed twice as golfnow taxes you which they should then the course taxes you again once you go to pay the remainder. Some staff there are nice but a few are very argumentative. I gave it a two star because of the price, getting taxed twice, and the guy I delt with my last round there was very rude. Probably my last round I play there.
Good Course
Course is well maintained and groomed nicely. my only concern is its not worth $73.00. Course should be at max 60.00. otherwise fun to play
Anderson Golf Course Has Closed As Of 2016
For anyone leaving a review for Anderson Park, the course has ceased operations as of 2016. The only remaining course at CFB Borden is "Circled Pine" and can be found here : www.bordengolf.com
Felt like one of the locals
My wife and I like to try every course we can atleast once. This one was on our list for a while as we've heard good things - it didn't disappoint.
It's an old course with some kitschy retro designs around the elevated greens. The greens and fairways were in great condition. We had a foursome of very friendly vets behind us, and were fortunate enough to play with a pleasant member/vet with lots of stories.
Sure, this isn't a McBroom or a Carrick, but it had a great atmosphere and a nice layout with room to air it out off the tees.
Well worth the trip.
Pretty course and well maintained
The course was good. The par 4's were quite long especially into the wind (which most of them seemed to be). There was no starter at the first tee and there were two twosomes in front of us that should have been paired up. Greens were fast and in good shape.
Hey! Just a heads up, you should put this review on CFB Borden - Circled Pine. Anderson was shut down two years ago.
