scenic golfland
this course was a challenge for a first timer duffer. Still hope to return again in the fall with all the colored foliage.
Greens Punched
Bought tee time from Golfnow and found out when we got there that the greens were punched. Rented a cart at $40 and they wouldn't even give a break on it.

The course was a challenging lay out and fun to play. The only thing that was below expectations were their outside facilities. Perhaps they should change their nines so you could use the club house washrooms on your way to number 10.
A little sickened...
I was a member of this course for a decade + am not ashamed to mention the following regarding the course. Greens: the practice green was evidently faster than the actual greens. Course conditions: very soggy and not enough areas spraypainted as ground under repair, especially where there was visible signs of maintenance equipment that affected current shots [Golf Canada Rules don't permit movement of ball?]. Lastly I found it absolutely repulsive that the course record is hung directly above the mens changeroom urinals. Grant the best round yet to be played where it deserves to be, in plain sight to both men and women!
Fall Prices a Winner
We do not play this course during regular season because we find it to be overpriced. It was great to have the opportunity to play it at the reduced rate. A bit too challenging for the average woman golfer (long holes) and a couple of holes that are horrid. The one staff member working was very friendly and helpful.
Late season round
Played this course many times. Great course. Green fee now becoming more reasonable. Late season round meant lots of leaves. Try and paly mid season when the course is in ideal condition. It can be a tough walk especially if you carry. Suggest a cart.
Excellent old style course
Good elevation changes, with interesting holes that require more shot making than power. Long par fives for a shortish course. Good greens with a variety of breaks. Unless you are a fan of long drives and short irons you will thoroughly enjoy this course.
Bcc
Amazing course. Best value of the season.
A thinking course
Challenging as you need to place your shots for best approach to greens. T shots are not for the rip 'em 'n hit 'em golfer. Friendly staff and the greens were in great shape.
The design of this course is excellent.
There are a few holes that could improve their direction sign's to the fallowing hole. But this is miner! On a overall condition my wife and I would give this course a 5 STAIR,PLUS THE STAFF.
Has anyone found the 17th hole??
If you are playing this course for the first time good luck following the signage on the course. Out of all the courses that I have played, I have never played a course with such poor signage between holes. Good luck when you are travelling from the 16th to the 17th hole. You are more likely to find Waldo than get to the 17th hole. Even asking others where to go, most other golfers were just a confused. Even when mentioning this problem to staff, I'm not sure if they took the feedback seriously. It's too bad the signage was so horrible because the course layout was quite interesting. The course was well maintained and had many challenging holes. I wasn't impressed with the service compared to other golf courses. I found that the pro shop was not overly helpful and the service in the restaurant was very poor. The food was good when it finally arrived but trying to track down the servers was interesting to say the least. Maybe the servers got lost between the kitchen and the dining area due to poor signage.
Very good golf course in the Eastern Ontario
We found it well maintained challenging course. Only one area lacking for us first timer was lack of yardage marker and sinage to the next hole. Overall we really liked the course despite the record high summer heat.
Best Greens in Eastern Ontario
Played this course in the afternoon, overall course was in great condition, some of the best greens I have played this year. Only con is tee boxes were so narrow that some tees were not great to use based on divots and course set-up.
Play Smart
Great Course, make your shots with strategy. First time players on the course pay attention of fairway layout and hidden hazards. Review doglegs for ball placement. Check out layout before making your shot. Some of the cart paths could use some maintenance and a few markers to tell you where to go to the next tee. Number two hole (cardiac hill) I think!!!! make sure you know the hole location, because there is a two tier green and very large, knowing where is to your advantage.Enjoy , I did. Wolf
A Real Gem!
The course was in great shape. It has many elevation changes and each hole is a unique playing experience. It is a little off the beaten track, but if you can get a good price it justifies the drive to get there. Also, the food is very good, and reasonably priced for a golf course.
Great layout
Even though the day was cold and extremely windy, I loved this course. The course was in excellent condition - greens, fairways, bunkers and tee blocks.
This course provides the golfer with a wide mix of challenging holes. Shot planning and placement is a must to score well. Analyze hole to determine best side of fairway for your approach to the green. The greens typically slope back to front - shot placement is key to reduce difficulty of putt.
Thoroughly enjoyed the day and the course - will definitely be back.

Best old course around
This old course is a true test of your skill.
Roll the ball if you are not in a match as the rough makes you focus on hitting the fairway or green.
Don't let the short yardage fool you, this is a real golf track. It's not wide open like some public courses , take a shorter club and hit the fairway.
Conditions are perfect this week.
I am playing trillium wood this week but look forward to coming back to the bcc.
O ya, awesome range and short game that is included.
I hate going to places and they charge you 8$ for a small bucket.
Bogey
The course is beautiful...greens are slow and need some work. We had a 427 tee time, a twosome jumped in and took our spot. We waited on every hole 2.5 hour front 9. Back was more of the same and then the golf cart ran out of gas at the farthest spot from the clubhouse. No time to finish round.
The cart rental price is the cart rental price....Think it might have been cheaper to book golf and cart right at the BCC.
