Need better maintenance
The course is still good but can be better. The rough has plenty of crabgrass n dandelion, making it difficult to find balls n hit. Some fairways are good n some in fair condition but greens are fine. However the car path is very bumpy n needs repair. Staff are very polite n efficient n check in is quick. The beverage cart is always around to serve you. Pace is acceptable and slow players just let you pass through which is good. Overall, the course is still good but need better maintenance.
Lakeridge Links GC
Course was overtaken by crab grass. Bunkers had no sand and lots of stones. Tee blocks were infested with weeds and grabgrass. Needed levelling. No defined edges on the sandtraps. Greens had lots of sandhills and bare spots. Its obvious the owner has neglected the course for other real estate venture. Golf Now carrying this course would degrade Golf Now reputation.
Good Course But Overpriced
Course was in good condition, good layout, but very over-priced compared to other courses in the area.
Poor Condition
I have read some reviews and there is a contrast on how this course is. Let me tell you, this course is on the downhill fast. For the 85$ with a cart you would expect a premier course. I'll start with the tees, they were in need of cut and alot of weed and feed. Crabgrass is every where and are running over the good grass. They are chewed up really bad in some spots and are definitely not rolled because they are starting to bowl. The fairways are in ok shape, not cut short as other courses. Now for the greens, I thought Whispering Ridge was bad with anthills and weeds. Lakeridge greens were pock marked and diseased and full of anthills. It seems that people or maintenance staff don't know how to fix ball marks. Round bare spots all over the greens. I have another nitpik that bugs me. They were holding the Golf Association of Ontario Junior Championship here and you would think they would make sure conditions were OK. The maintenance staff all over the place cutting grass and other wood maintenance. Grass clippings littered the fairways like they haven't cut the fairways in weeks. For 85$ I would go somewhere else and have better conditions. Wait for a special or a coupon to play.
Gone downhill
First time playing here this year, course was in rough shape. Bunkers not tended and fairways were rock solid in most places.
Nice round
Had a good round, with good conditions. One improvement to the course would be to repair and fix the cart paths. They are just awful. Been bad for a few years now.
What happened to this course?
I have played this track many times over the years and I'm not sure what has happened, but it is now a mess. The tee boxes and many greens are in very bad shape. That being said, the fairways and cart paths are even worse. I will not return until significant efforts are made to care for this course.
Course conditions
Haven't played this course for a few years . The course has a very good layout and was always in good shape. This time I can say it may be the worst condition course I have ever played . Fairways were void of grass in many spots and often patches of mud . The tee blocks were terrible ...generally dirt . The greens ranged from terrible to average. The cart paths were filled with pot holes everywhere. I don't know if they have new owners , but they spent zero on course maintenance. I wouldn't play there again for free . The only bonus was the staff . The clubhouse staff and the starter were very friendly and welcoming .

Started a little behind schedule, which is expected for this time of the year...but course fees of $70 for this timenof the year ian a little pricey. Course didn’t bother to blow leaves of food the fairway which can make for a tough time trying ron find your ball
This course used to be a decent course years ago. Over the last few years it has become a cow pasture. I know this summer was really hot and dry but this course was much worse than other courses. Probably going to be a longtime before I go back. It isn't like the price was discounted.
This course is in horrible shape.
This course is in horrendous shape. Cart paths are ridiculous/unusable. Fairways are harder then concrete.
A few holes are under actual construction with bulldozers etc.
It’s unfortunately a unkept/unmaintained course. I would assume it has no greens keeper or staff.
Poor shape
I hadn’t been in 2 years I was so disappointed from the minute I got there the pro shop was practically empty of everything ,checking in I asked what shape the course was in and was told in really good shape So I get my cart which was absolutely filthy I wiped it down myself then off to the 10th hole which is now the starting hole. I won’t go through every hole but the fairways were in bad condition and a lot of the greens were dried out with dirt patches and some kind of green filler on them it was terrible. Plus the cart paths were actually dangerous to drive there were holes everywhere. I was totally dissatisfied with this golf course Lakeridge and I will not be going back.
A Premium Course has Fallen from Grace
What I would once consider a top course in the region, has fallen in tough times. The greens are still quick and hold, but the rest of the course is in rough condition. Tee boxes are chewed up and unleveled. The fairways are damaged with dead grass and exposed dirt a common sight. It appears they may be preparing to rectify this for the 2021 season, with significant construction underway near holes 5/6 & 16/17.
Fingers crossed for better times ahead.
