Reviews
Caledon Country Club
Have played this course many times over the years. Received an outstanding deal from Golf Now so I took advantage. This course is on the shorter side but the greens are its protection. Yesterday they were brilliant. This is a surprise considering how many courses had difficulty after the winter we had. The rough was punishing as it had grown in very thick and tall. Like many courses, playing from the fairways here is the key !
always fun
One of my favourite courses to play , a good challenge but not crazy difficult, great condition and overall beautiful course. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Played as a single. let me go on ahead of my tee time and didn’t push me to team up . Can’t wait to go back .
Great gem in Caledon
Played Caledon CC after mulling over a few options in Golf Now and was pleasantly surprised. The course layout is excellent and is a lot tougher than the first hole lets on.
The two par 5's on the back nine are challenging.
I walked 18 but would recommend a golf cart since there are quite a few elevation changes and holes were the next tee box is a trek from the prior green.
Great value and great "old school" feel course.
Good course
On vacation from England
Excellent course in good condition despite the wet spring
Challenging greens and pin placements
The course was is pretty good shape considering all the rain we've had, although there were a lot of unfixed ball marks on some of the greens. The pin placements were often on a slant, which made the putting very challenging.
Pristine Greens
I rarely write reviews - good or bad. But since this is the 5th time playing this course and each experience has been consistently good. The greens are always true and pristine. The fairways are always cut and the rough is challenging. Hit the fairways to score low. The course will reward the accurate player. Little things like naming and providing pro tips for each of the holes differentiate itself from the rest. Even if you're not a player, you can appreciate the landscaping no matter what time of year. Enjoy!
Glad I picked this to play
Course was in great shape considering the amount of precipitation that we’ve had all spring. Except for a few spots, fairways were dry and well manicured. Greens were also in tip-top shape and played fast. Spring rates were in effect which was an added bonus!
Don’t walk!
Spring golf.... very wet considering all the rain in recent weeks. Definitely will give it another run for sure! I’m not the fittest guy in the world but would highly recommend taking a cart! I was done at 13! And it was my first time playing here.......
Hidden Gem
This is a terrific course which challenges all aspects of your game and allows you to use most clubs in the bag. Greens are in perfect condition.
Always challenging, always well maintained, always friendly staff.
Beautiful view
Very beartiful course with somewhat challenging holes. Good green condition, Tee off. Better to have distance stake instead of plate.
DO NOT Book Hot Deal!!
I booked a hot deal twice and when I arrived there after one hour driving, the pro shop guy noticed me that my booking was cancelled and no longer tree time today. They did not notice us and cancelled last minutes (probably, they had other players with more pay).
This happened twice this year and I no longer back to this course anyone with such bad business manner. Golf Now should cancel dealing with this course or provide pre-caution to all players that they may cancel hot deal booking player at last minutes. Do not use hot deal with this course.
Was value for $$ but ...
Played course for first time. Was good value. A bit quirky. Could not find driving range on site, and no hitting net, so had to step up to first tee cold with a menacing tee shot. Is old style course, so some holes run parallel to others, Had some balls flying into our fairways at times. Not crazy about that.
Noticed some wear and tear on tee areas. Need to move the blocks around, very chewed up on some holes. Also, as I'm finding on many course lately, nobody fixes their pitch marks, so you end up with pockmarked greens, and this was the case here. Many of my putts were knocked off line, and I was fixing a half dozen pitch marks on each green, just in my line, This is very annoying. Maybe I'm being spoiled by playing some private clubs this summer that don't have this problem. They should provide mandatory repair tools to every player and remind them at the first tee to fix at least one pitch mark on every green.
Many bunkers had standing water in them , but had rained night before. Bunker guy was out fixing best he could though.
Not a perfect course, and was a long drive for me. being from east GTA, but recommend if you get a decent price.
