Excellent Course
This was my first time playing this course. I was extremely pleased with the conditions and layout in regards to the great price I received through golf now. The greens are in terrific shape and aren’t easy. Wish I had known about it earlier in the season to be honest.
Great Course
I never get tired of golfing at Monthill. There are 3 - 9 hole (red ,blue & gold ) courses. There always in great shape .The club house is amazing .Also since covid 19 most courses in the area have upped there prices by at least 25% i have paid the same price as last year for 18 holes with a cart.
Wow
What beautiful track, 2 members in my foursome had never played here before. They certainly were impressed. One of our player, he’s only been play for a year and he said “now I’m spoiled for any other course”. Lot of improvements, keep up the good work.
If you haven’t played this course make sure you do, wow
Hot day
Front nine was a little slower than usual but picked up nicely on the back.
Excellent course
Course was in fairly good shape. Some very interesting holes. If you hit the ball on the fairway in the right spots it can carry 280 or more and I’m not a long ball hitter. opportunities to make par or birdies for 15 handicapper. I would definitely come again. Food is excellent on the 19th conference hall and banquet Center.
Way over booked.
Played the reds on the front 9. Course was in good shape and pace if play was normal. We got to the turn and we were supposed to play the blues. Somehow we had 5 foursomes in front of us. No starter or Marshall in sight. Finally found one and asked what was going on. He said he would go and find out and never returned. We jumped into the lineup for the gold course, which had 3 foursomes ahead if us. This ruined what started as a nice round.
Good outing......but
Fabulous new clubhouse at Monthill. Played Red/Gold nines of 27 hole layout. Overall condtion of the 2 nines was excellent except for a number of tee blocs on par 3's which were lacking in grass. Greens are huge but heavy thus it was hard to get the ball to the hole on many lengthy putts. Bunkers in excellent shape with pro level sand in them. But...
Started second nine and young couple drive passed us to start at #2. Both were raw beginners playing out of one bag. Should not have been allowed on the course with one set of clubs. No starter or marshal to enforce. Thus we waited on every tee on the second nine. Also, two groups had boom boxes playing at a very annoying volume. Come on Monthill, both situations are unacceptable!
Overall great experience
Have played this course many times before evolving to MontHill, an overall gateway experience, friendly involved staff, great course conditions, and a phenomenal clubhouse with a delicious meal to follow.
Nice course
Course has totally changed from Sundrim days. Nice greens, fairways mostly good. Lots of trees, and nice layout. Cons - the tee boxes were in bad shape and greens difficult to stick on iron shots. Will definitely play again.
Good day
Course was in great shape greens a little slow but that all l can say everything was great thanks for a great day
Amazing Club house.. Nothing els!
I played this course 6 yrs ago when it was Sundrum and swore I’d never play it again... it was recommended to give it another shot after they built a $5 million clubhouse, .well that’s the ONLY thing to see at this course... it has improve their tee boxes but the layout is still the same. The bowl shaped greens are just bad and very slooooow! the course is WAY shorter then the card reads. Many holes aren’t even close to what the score card shows
There’s NO WAY this course could ever host any kind of open, amateur or tour event of any kind
No putting green
No chipping green
No hitting net
Basically from your trunk to the first tee
The STAFF were amazing!! Proshop attendant was awesome and very friendly and the starter was great
And the power carts have GPS and very nice
Greens are lovely
Nice changing greens. The rough is nice and fluffy. Hit it into the trees, not to worry they open up well for ball finding. 65 bucks inc cart! I’ll be back
Also the pro shop has some sweet gear
Check out the green jacket in the clubhouse
Love the coarse
Had a great day will be back to play it again my wife thought it was terrific also
Fabulous course
Excellent layout with plenty of challenging holes. Greens were in impeccable shape. Power carts had full GPS technology which was a welcome surprise. Tee blocks had markers outlining the distance to hazards, and corners so you could plan how to lay up. Only waited on the 17th and 18th holes. Would definitely recommend.
