MontHill Golf and Country Club - Gold/Red Course

This course is making leaps and bounds in improvements. The first and last holes are still under construction on account of the massive clubhouse going in. The greens we're well manicured but could use a little more speed.

Due to construction very messy parking, hole 1 on red temp tee making it a par 3 no yardage marker at this hole. Fairway grass a little to long and there should be three cuts if you miss the fairway by only a foot you are punished by very long grass their should be a secondary cut.. Other than that really nice course well maintained tee boxes are excellent.

I’m not sure why GolfNow doesn’t have alerts for this course. The construction of a massive new clubhouse turns two holes from par 4’s to par 3’s. Another hole is entirely closed on one of the nines. Our foursome headed out and we’re told to play two nines (blue and gold) and after 9 we were directed to play the red nine?
Anyway just be wary going out here for the foreseeable future. Not very impressed with the golf course mainete ance either....long weeds growing in unkept bunkers. On the red ninth hole there was 4inch rough growing right next to the green....all this while a multimillion dollar clubhouse is going on seems very odd.... not sure I’ll return here

Course under construction

Golf now confirmed our tee time and we weren’t in the system when we arrived

Paid $40 last year and to now pay $60 for a course currently under construction and construction workers on the fairway while playing... I really enjoyed this course last year but not while under construction.

first time playing this course....lots of contruction some par 4s tees moved up now par 3s wasnt advised in advance....fairways were like playing out of the rough!! high grass....u hit a decent drive down the middle and cant find your ball because its buried in the grass......overall the worst customer service ive ever experienced at a golf course....first time playing nobody on the course i decided to try out a few holes on a 3rd 9 to see if the 3rd 9 would be more challenging and was told i hadn't paid for it so was asked to leave.....i will never play this cow pasture again and will discourage anyone i know to never play this place!!!

Course is always a good deal for what you pay. In the process of building a new club house but still a bargain

My partner and I enjoyed our outing at MontHill on an extremely humid day. The courses were practically deserted perhaps as the burger lady at the turn suggested that the heat had kept many golfers away.

I had played the course in July but the conditions surprisingly were much softer in late September despite the lack of moisture . The greens which were fast and well manicured are huge and well undulated . The fairways were in pristine shape and as another reviewer has noted the sand in the few bunkers most of which were located on par threes was very white and fine and the traps were well maintained.

A main feature of the course are the numerous pine trees that line many of the fairways and the pine chips beneath them make it somewhat easy to locate wayward shots. On most holes the penalty for going over the green was far more penal than coming up short

Some of the tee boxes were well chewed up and on a few of them we had difficulty getting the tee in the ground. This was a minor irritant, however, and did not distract from our enjoyment of the layout

A creek winds through all three courses but comes into play far more on the red course than the gold and blue.

Course has been continuously worked on this summer. Can tell by the busy green keeping crew. Course is well kept and is improving daily. They are also building a large new clubhouse which should only add to the overall experience! Would recommend this course to anyone!

Course is in great shape. It's nice they finally put sand in the bunkers !!

The pictures posted on the website of the course were not very convincing, but the reality was amazing. Except the first couple of holes (Red Course), it was WOW! I never felt bored while playing Red Course and Blue Course. The best thing was the greens that were so well-maintained, firm, neat, and challenging. There was a major construction and renovation work under way, and I guess this course will be even better soon.

Played the Gold/Blue combination nines. Emphasis was hitting the fairway off the tee. Greens were challenging when you were on the wrong side of the hole. Fair test of golf, we enjoyed the challenge. Will play again

I was warmly greeted at the club house which followed by a quick round!! Course very well groomed!! Played by myself and all players were very courteous. Can't wait for my next one!!
