Quagmire
Worst course I ever played as far as conditions. Every step you were in soggy grass, pools of water..if you are used to taking a divot, forget it, nothing but mud..Apparently this is normal all year, course built on a marsh. Cart path only made it even more awful having to walk, slog, your way to the ball & back. We quit after 15, closest to the clubhouse.Three foursomes on every hole, took forever. Be warned.
Fall golf
I can only imagine how nice this course is during the nicer months. The course was in fantastic shape considering that a massive storm blew through Collingwood less than 48 hrs. before my round. The course was under water the day before I played. Would recommend this course to anyone looking for a bit of a longer track with a lot of blind shots.
Once is enough
It`s fall and there has been a lot of rain but the course is built on what was once a swamp so it was really wet.
There are houses everywhere and I am just not a big fan of being watched..
It is a flat course and I just didn't find it to be all that much fun. I am sure many would enjoy it but jst not for me
Cranberry
Enjoyed the course and play with local from the area, Bob and David. The pace was great, but with cold and rainy weather it kind of dampened the round. Would like to go back and play the course in the summer time to get a better feel for the course. Enjoyed the layout and enough trouble to keep you having to play in the middle of the course.
Where were the Marshals?
there was a hour and a half frost delay that of course could not have been helped but this event pushed us to 3:10 start. The course was very busy as they tried to accommodate all players however we did not see a marshal on the course to encourage players to pick up pace. We waited every hole and in the end completed 15 holes only as the cats had to be returned by 6:30 and the sun was setting.
Great Day
Greens were great considering the time of year. Tee box (whites) were rough but everything else great
Good day.
Beautiful walking course. Just bring hip waders.
I never played in a swamp before. I loved the layout.
I have played in gravel pits. I have played between the rocks in the Canadian shield, in cow pastures, but never a swamp.
We were smiling at the end as we enjoyed the scenery .
Wet....but enjoyable (raining)
Pace was good, conditions great for growing turf (raining), but just great to get a round in at this time of year.
Wet conditions on Cranberry
Course is extremely wet with some holes with standing water, due to the excessive rainfall over the past few days. We had a family of 3 in front of us that were extremely slow. We ended up skipping around hole 2 to bypass them. After that, it was fairly quick, except for the last couple of holes. Sand traps need some work.
Nice course
Nice course but have issues with the t boxes. Not well maintained holes and many bare patches. Staff is great. Fairways and greens (generally) are well maintained. A lot of over growth that could be trimmed. Big issue with the ninth hole. Either make it a fairway with proper bunkers or just a fairway all the way. Right now it is awful. Not a golf hole at all.
Great pace of play
We are members so play the course twice weekly. Really enjoyed this round. No pressure in front or behind.
Enjoyed a very good meal on the deck after.
Golfing at Blue.
Long Fairways and a well-maintained course. Enjoyed the course. Friendly members.
