Awesome
Absolutely beautiful. The fairways are like greens.
The course and fairways in good shape and the greens still healing for punching but putttable
It was the long and thick rough outside the fairways that was unplayable . 4+ hour round not bad
Spent too much time looking for balls that just rolled in the deep rough our group lost at least 1/2 dozen balls., almost knee high rough is too much just a mere 10 yards from the fairways
Pretty day , nice weather , decent price , fun day in the sun !
Beautiful day
The course was still experiencing some issues due to the rain but playable
The greens were punched but knew ahead of time
4 1/2 hr round lot of golfers out there
Cart paths only🤬
Greens sanded and plugged…cart path only…range closed
Good Value on Golf Now
Course was wet in spots and cart path only ...which is really difficult because if your ball is on the opposite side of the fairway, you have no idea of your distance and what clubs to haul over there. Also, greens were plugged and sanded, which was not mentioned on Golf Now!
BETTER COMMUNICATION
Had quite a frustrating experience at the golf course. I have played this course many times and have enjoyed it but not this day. After an hour drive to get to course was informed that only the back nine was open because they were aererating the greens and we would have to play back nine twice. In addition it was cart path only (I usually walk but since cart was included I left my pull cart at home.) as I was visibly frustrated the guy in the pro shop said that can happen when you book through a thrid-party. Yes it can happen, but it shouldn't, there should be communication from the course to GolfNow so a person can make a viable decision whether to play a course in unfavorable condition. We played the first nine at a decent pace (2 hours) but than went we went to play the second nine it was a log jam. They were just letting people out with no consideration for players who would be making the turn. In addition they were letting out twosomes and singles which slowed play down to a crawl.
Communication between the course and booking platforms like GolfNow is crucial to ensure that golfers have accurate information before making their plans. It's unfortunate that this wasn't the case for this outing. It's also important for courses to manage the pace of play effectively to ensure an enjoyable experience for all golfers on the course.
Despite the setbacks, the greens on the back nine were in great shape. Hopefully, our next round will be smoother and more enjoyable.
Was Once a Nice Track
Sadly, Olivas Links is not longer a nice track. Last year, it was in great shape. Now, it's a glorified "goat track." Hopefully, they will get the course (and particularly the fairways) in good shape again. Right now, the fairways are awful.
Punched Greens = Bummer
Course in great condition. Pace of play was fantastic and the weather couldn’t have been better. But the greens were just punched and super sandy. Next time let us know or discount the green fees.
