Going down hill
Played this course several years ago. What a disappointing change as is the trend with any course that Golf North take over. Their only mission appears to be maximize profits as they scrimp on reinvesting in overall course upkeep/maintenance. When the original owners get their courses back after contract expires with Golf North they will need to re-evaluate whether the profits are going to offset the money they are going to need to spend to bring their courses back to pre-Golf North conditions.
Lovely Conestoga
The course is quite scenic.
The staff are extremely friendly & helpful.
Lot's of fun!
Always a fun to play here as the course keeps you on your toes. Layouts of the 9's (27 holes total) are much different from each other so it's like playing different courses. Great staff and food and the course is just challenging enough for the intermediate golfer.
Quit After Nine Because of Pace of Play
There was a small tournament in front of us with about 40-48 players. Front Nine took over 3 hours and back nine would have been the same if we had stayed to follow the same tournament.
slow play
No attention to pace by the marshalls. A really slow foursome, 2 groups ahead, were never told to pick it up or allow others to play through.
conostogo
have played this course bewfore and is very suitable for my wife and i to walk and play. course is quite flat and an enjoyable walk
Good
Not bad at all. Lots of water!! Be careful with people canoeing on river. It's a great public course.
27 holes, lots of variety.
Course has 27 holes, with lots of water and mature trees.
Very few golfers on the course, the day I golfed there, so was able to golf quickly. Starter was very friendly. and had some helpful suggestions.
Great, scenic course minutes from KW
I arrived at 12:30pm for a 12:50 pm tee off, and was promptly handed my cart and told to go ahead at any course I wanted. I opted for the Goose (one of 3 - 9's) as it's always been my favourite(the par 4 - hole #3 in particular). Conestoga has always been one of my preferred Golf North courses in waterloo/wellington as it's always been well maintained, with a great updated clubhouse. Good food, great autumn day, scenic parkland course in Mennonite country...and a great deal with golf now.
Course was in good shape and relatively good pace of play
nice layout and an easy walking course, not too busy so no waiting time. maintenance men doing a great job on leaf-blowing to keep everything tidy.
