Tired
Tired of not playing the courses I was supposed to. Probably not going back, not the first time
Slow as heck
Three nine hole courses, where the starting tees are a circus. Starters don’t really know what’s going on, there’s people driving around everyone trying to find an open tee box. A group was actually let ahead of my group between the 9th and 10th holes. 3 groups on almost every hole. Very disorganized.
Nice after the rain.
Had to wait until they decided to allow carts out after a short rainfall. Yes, it was a little wet, but we've played on a way wetter course before! Cart path only is not unusual after a storm, but how long does it take to make a decison?!? The lady in the pro shop is polite but curt, she needs to be a little more friendly with people who are there to pay her wages. It really doesn't cost her anything to smile once in a while. Other than that, it was a fun day on a challenging cours.
Came for the sandwiches...
...would come back for the views. Started 12 mins behind pace as 2 guys jumped in front of us due to overbooking same tee time. No worries for us, we were not in a rush. Staff is friendly & course is a beauty. Order the chicken nachos on the patio, there’s enough to share :)
Length an issue for women golfers
Some of the par threes and fours are too long for the average woman golfer. The men are now being rewarded with senior men's tees. Women don't have as much choice of tees. Our tees are five yards in front of the senior mens. We age as well! Many times good shots are not rewarded because of hazard placement and lengthy holes. Fine line between frustration and challenge. Courses need tees set at 5000 yards or just under for our handicaps to be comparable to those of the men. But I have no issue with the course condition or the great patio dining.
