Nation Golf Course

Course was in pretty good shape for the first round of the year. The greens were soft, as you'd expect in the spring, but the grass on the greens was in incredibly good shape for April.

The starting hole is a bit strange, but not too bad.

Pretty scenery.

I brought my old balls to lose under the leaves, but didn't need them. The fairways and rough were all cleared of leaves. Even under the tree line was not so bad as if the leaves were removed. Greens and fairways were mowed and immaculate, great for November conditions Nice job, I will be back.

We loved our round of golf at Nation Golf on this fall day! Beautiful fall colors and yet no difficulties finding our golf balls on the course with all the fallen leaves moved away! Course was in prime condition; greens have perfect speed, fairways are immaculate with no bare spots! Rough is fare with no difficulties finding our golf balls! Underwood is clear and playable!

I was 1 and joined a group of three and it was one of the best times of golf I have experienced.

This is an unbelievable track, manicured to perfection, almost every hole is a postcard. Stunning views. Course is shorter than average length but tight & with elevation changes & superb greens.

Played the Nation for the first time. Greens and course were in great shape and well manicured. Loved the changes in elevation and design. Great value with Golfnow reservation. Will definitely be back.

Very impressed with the Hammond Golf Course. The course was in excellent condition and the deal on Golf Now couldn't be beat!

The course is in great shape somewhat slow round but that is to be expected with a 1240 tee off. I caught a 22.00 deal on golf now with a cart so no complaints.

Nation is a well maintained course with many elevation changes. One of the best courses in Eastern Ontario.

The course is fairly forgiving off the tee, but you really need to keep it straight. The greens are in good shape. Didn't have any standing water anywhere on the course (even after the downpours of the day before we played). Could be due to the 30 feet of sand under the course. It is a very fair, yet challenging golf course, especially if you are not in the fairways.

The course was in great condition for the end of the season, we will definitely have it on our rotation of local courses next year! Restaurant had closed for season so I can't comment on that aspect.

A little far from Ottawa but well worth the drive. This is a beautiful course, extremely well maintained. There is a surprising amount of elevation change throughout the course. Club selection off the tee is vital on this course. The Golf Now price made this a steal.

We drove one hour to get there not knowing what to expect as the rates were so low. We were all blown away once we pulled in. Very clean and well maintained. The course conditions match those of higher priced courses. Strategy is very important on many of the holes. Some of the most picturesque hole in Eastern Ontario. Can't wait to go back.

This course was awesome. The layout itself is fun and interesting. I liked it because it takes more skill than just hitting a long drive and a wedge in.

Other than the double dogleg par 5 and elevated green on 10 most of the holes are actually not too difficult if you can hit a straight iron or hybrid off the tee. I particularly enjoyed the par 3's and the first hole as well.

Staff was friendly right from when I walked in the door, not much else I can add but it was nice to see.

Lastly the conditions. This by far has been the best course I've played in Ontario in terms of fall conditions. I can't remember having to hit one shot off of hard ground, greens on the front nine were in great shape and even the punched greens on the back still were pretty nice! If it weren't for the colours of the leaves you'd forget it's fall because there were hardly any leaves around the course which is amazing as well. It can all be summed up by the fact that they have no cart rules ever, it's scramble year round.

I wish I didn't live so far away from this course because for the price it's easily the best value (similar courses that are probably in rough shape this time of year will charge $60+).
