Nation Golf Course

I loved my day at The Nation...haven't played here in a few year...front nine is tree lined with pines so leaves and back is tree lined also no leaves to bother you. This course demands accuracy off tees even on short par fours...If you don't position your shot you can get blocked out of your next shot. Greens were undulating and FAST.This is a hilly course and a cart is recommended due to long distances between greens and tees on many holes.

Course is in great condition. Some greens are very difficult and fast with balls rolling back like Augusta.A few holes are rather gimmicky with too much uphill or blind shots. But over all great value for the money at $32 with cart - which you really need.

Although, I've only been playing two years, I've tried many golf courses around the Ottawa area. This is my favourite. Beautiful landscape and very interesting course.

Fairways and greens are always in amazing shape. Fun layout, lots of elevation change, short even from the blues (the tips at Nation).

One of the best value for money in the region. Best part is that it's always scatter for carts, never 90 degrees or cart path only, it's great, highly recommend !

Course was great but I reserved through Golfnow and did not charge me the correct amount . I reserved for two golfers at $84.75, when I got to the course they did not honor the price, they charged me $90.

Great staff and facilities. Course conditions were great. Course plays nicely to someone with a straight tee shot. If you slice or hook its a little more challenging but overall beautiful course and scenery.

Excellent day to tee off with family (me, wife and daughter who just started golfing) in the afternoon. Friendly staff in the pro shop. Course conditions in A1 shape with nice fairways and excellent greens. All three of us got a par at the signature 18th par 3 island green to finish off an excellent round.

Love this course. Great shape.. Go as often as possible.

Well day I went a tournament had started shotgun style that still brought the course to grinding halt at about the 3 rd hole. Course was in excellent condition the staff was friendly and the fairways are nice and tight, big risk = better reward you can eagle or easily birdy the par fives with a well placed t shot. But a couple tricky par 3's had me pulling out my hair! And lets not say a word about the 10th hole I have played there for years and still don't understand that hole.

One of the best courses for in the Outaouais region. The greens are in great shape.

Course is in great condition even after all the rain we have had.

Our first time playing at Nation and we had to endure horrific Ottawa construction and traffic to get there, but it was definitely worth the drive. Would compare it to Renfrew (which is easier for us to get to from west-end Ottawa), and I think Nation is actually prettier and may be more challenging. Try it out!

The varying elevations and lots of bush on the sides of the fairways, make this a fun course to play. Not that busy so basically played at our own pace.

after a long cold winter, the greens at the Nation were in excellent condition... no winter damage!! the view is awesome and the par 3s are tough!! love it.

At this time of year the grounds were in splendid condition. The greens were nice and fast. The fairways had largely withstood the not inconsiderable precipitations we've had recently. It was a pleasure to navigate.

The staff was friendly and helpful, starting with the pro-shop, to the marshals, then the cart girl. This is a mature tree lined, picturesque course. While certainly not a long course, it has its own challenges in the form of steep elevation changes, water hazards, and narrow at times. It will make you pay if you aren't straight. Overall a great deal at regular price, even better with the Hot Deal rate!

The course is picturesque. Each whole is challenging and unique. From the moment I walked in the starter and the tee off manager/owner were welcoming and helpful. I ordered a sandwich and it was done up too taste. I played a challenging round and was pleased when my shots went where I asked them to go but was rightfully punished when I had an errand shot. The canteen cart was always close by if I needed a drink or snack and the club house is beautiful with big screen tv's. A short distance from the Papanack Zoo and not a long drive from Ottawa.

Course in excellent condition, except for the greens that appeared to have been punched recently and full of sand. Distance markers somewhat difficult to find and use.
