good 9 hole course
Nice area, friendly staff, good value after 2 p.m.
At $11.99 (including cart) you get what you pay for
The golf experience starts when you arrive. The pro shop is closed. A taped up sign says "Go to the cook in the kitchen to get a key for your cart". Seriously? Yes.
We're 20 minutes early. The cook can't answer questions, " I don't have anything to do with the golf" she says, but she directs us to some guy in jeans and a T shirt on the patio who appears to be in charge. He allows that we can tee off a whopping 20 minutes early.
No one tees off for at least an hour after us..
This course plays true to its yardage.
The course is only nine holes but you play it twice from different tee locations. At first it was a little confusing but after the third hole my wife and I had it figured out. Greens and tees where soft and fairways well cut. Has all the challenge an average golfer needs and is also beginner friendly.
Beautiful fall conditions
I played this course this season approximately 15 times and love it. The staff was very courteous and friendly. A very well run course in our little town. I am considering membership for next year
Very nice challenging nine-hole mature course
I've played this course many times and always been satisfied with the conditions. New owners this year and they seem to be bringing the course up to another level of quality
Basic 9 hole country course
The Dunnville golf course is a basic 9 hole country course with the exception of the par 3 hole sixth (fifteenth) hole which offers a challenging tee shot over a deep bunker to a large undulating green framed by a spectacular view of the Grand River.
The course features two separate tee boxes per hole making a number of the holes play to a different par the second time around. The greens which are relatively small and flat on most holes were in good condition considering the late summer drought and were very receptive to approach shots.
The course is very flat without fairway bunkers although about half of the holes have well-maintained greenside traps. There is a diagram of each hole beside the tees although I had difficulty finding some tees since I played as a single and the direction signs are scarce and in some cases barely visible. The course can be easily walked with the flat terrain and the 5700 yard length.
Would I make the hour drive from Hamilton to Dunnville to play the course again? No, but I still enjoyed my outing which took all of 2:45.
Good course
Dunnville G&C is an old and well established course. I have played it 8-12 times will be there again.
It is a nine hole twice course. There are different tee offs for the back nine that change the course enough to keep it interesting.
The mature trees provide shade at the tee areas and the Grand River always seems to provide a breeze to cool you down.
Nice 9 hole course
Good value for the money having the two different tee box's make it interesting enough to play the nine holes twice.
A quiet Gem
This is a classic Stanley Thompson nine hole design with double tee boxes to give the player a different look when playing 18. Talking to other patrons, many play 18 and still the flow is very good as the layout avoids bottlenecks. Course conditions are very good despite the dry conditions. Greens are in excellent shape! Very walkable and a tremendous value for money!
Dunnville golf & country
9 holes twice from different tees changed things nicely
nice course
Pretty neat set up.9 holes but when playing the the nine again, the tees are in different spots than the first nine gives the course a different look and holes different yardages.good idea.and the friendliest most curtious staff ever.
Hidden gem
John & Carolyn and all of their staff from the grounds crew, restaurant, and clubhouse have made it a great place to play and enjoy a day of golf and great food. The course is in excellent shape.
Interesting
Very fun and well takin care of course. A few challenging holes and a real interesting way of playing 18. The first 9 was fast with no delay but the back was a nightmare, no Marshall to speed play up and a group of 4 that took 3 hours on the last 4 holes. Other than that a grand experience and would recommend to anyone!
Charming 9 hole local course.
Decent conditions although a bit dry for this 9 hole course with two different tee set ups (to enable 18 hole play). Greens were in very good condition. Staff was exceptionally friendly. A nice moderate difficulty course with some interesting holes.Pace of play was good.
Great Value
Older course somehwat dated but well kept greens in good shap for this time of year.
I will recommend this course.
Mature course
Has long holes, short hole, bunkers, ponds, = Something for everyone!
Good comeback coarse
Amazing deals during the year. Plenty of events. Good mature coarse. Usually quick and friendly.
A Good Course
Enjoyed the 9 holes the course was in pretty good shape. It is an enjoyable 9 hole course. For the golfer who does not get out a lot it is reasonably challenging. Greens were very good and fairways nicely trimmed. The stater was really pleasant and helpful. Save for pace being slow an enjoyable course.
Lots of Bunkers
Great Price!! Not far from home.
very well kept, greens and fairways in great condition.
Very welcoming and friendly service, would definitely go several more times.
