Yep, 'Hidden Gem'
Great course tucked away in the country. 9 holes - at least half of the rate a 'WOW' when you get to the tee. Play it twice for 18 holes; yellow and green trees are different enough that it's not boring to go around again. Plus you want 're-dos' on some of them. Laid back atmosphere - staff and other players are friendly..
Friendly staff
Friendly staff , and the course was in great condition
Calerin is challenging
Play was steadily backed up. Not sure if this is/was a factor of being a 9 hole course.
Have always enjoyed the 2 separate/distinct tee boxes to play 18 holes (on a 9 hole course). Why don’t more 9 hole courses adopt this (in full or even in part)?
Great layout, really slow
This is an old Stanley Thompson design I belive and had been wanting to play it. On a Saturday we manged to get a last minute get a tee time. There was a tournament happening and it is a 9 hole layout that players can play 2X from different tee boxes to get an 18 hole experience. We just played 9. It was really busy and slow and semi intoxicated people all around your tee boxes looking for wayward balls they wanted to hit and music playing. No regard to being quiet as you are teeing off. As we waited at one tee box, a few balls landed right next to us then different golfers drove up right in front of our tee box from nowhere as we are swinging. Had to stop mid drive. While I am happy they are busy it seems the marshall had no control or did not care. Etiquette was like miniputt. Having said that, beautiful layout, nice elevation changes and bunkering. I suspect it would be amazing when not busy. Nevertheless we had fun but almost 3 hours for 9 holes.
Horrible pace of play
The staggering of golfers are terrible. Had a tee time at 5:54 and ended up waiting until 6:20 to tee off. Finished the round around 9:15pm
Great 9-hole course
Very well maintained 9-hole course. Perfect greens and fairways. A bit challenging for beginners like me, will definitely be playing this course again.
Golf North sucks
They run there courses into the ground. Calerin was a great course but it’s deteriorating the last couple of years.
9 hole course, not 18!
It's a good 9 hole course layout. They list it as 18 holes as you play it twice from different tee boxes the second time around.
Took around 5 hours on a Sunday morning teeing off at 745am. Had a 25-30 minute wait once we finished the first 9 because of the group's ahead and the new groups starting their rounds.
Felt kinda duped since it's listed as a 18 hole course on golf now. They need to advertise this proper so people know that they are in store for.
1st timer
Played the course for the 1st time.
Nice layout.
Greens and fairways are good.
Tee boxes are bad and dug up - why do many leave their tees ?
Lots of brown grass off the fairways.
Slow pace of play on the 1st 9 when others are playing their back 9. Tee times are too close.
Would play again
