Fun on a cloudy day
Had the course basically to ourselves. Greens were a little rough, but understandable considering the time of year.
Overall a great course.
C W Ditto
Fairways in decent shape but greens looked bare in spots from either a fungus or just lack of healthy grass.
Afternoon with Pops
Played on a sunny early fall day in DFW. twosome played in 2:45. Greens were a bit iffy in several places, but putt-able. Course is the same as always - a little quirky and fairly easy. Wildlife all over the course - birds, squirrels, a bobcat, geese, a snake, and turtles. A good place for a quick round.
I dont thing so.
service is there own way.
Work on the Greens
The Fairways and rough was in excellent shape. The Greens were in pretty poor shape. I liked the course but the Greens need a lot of work.
I wanted to play Ditto before they shut down to totally renovate the course. It always has been a tight course and I hope they don't do away with that aspect of play. Please, please, please come back with good greens!
Played on Columbus Day which may explain the fact that golfers on the course did not know proper golf etiquette. Played as a twosome behind a foursome of new golfers that would not allow us to play through. Definitely needed a Marshall in place for this event. We will give them another try at a later time.
Very nice traditional layout that takes advantage of the natural topography of the area. Greens were in poor condition but I understand the course will be closed for a major remodel soon which might be reason.
They have given up
My friend and I decided to finally play this course for the first time and I was very disappointed. I figured with it being so close to Arlington and the ballparks it would be in good condition but oh boy was I wrong. The fairways were in below average shape and the greens were god awful. I would have a better chance of making a putt on the cobblestones in the stockyards then I did on these greens because of how many weeds and other imperfections were on them. I thought I got a good deal by paying $33 after tax on Golf now but after playing I feel like they should pay me to come back out. Their reason for the course being in such disarray was because they are closing in a month to rebuild. I don't think they should neglect the course all together because regardless of how nice it is afterwards I will probably not return. Save your time and money and stay away from this place.
OK....I made a mistake.....when I saw the HOT DEAL emblem on your site I booked it immediately only to discover at the course this "hot Deal" was for a weekday in the future! I did not look over the deal well enough and bought a round I could not play as I was at work yesterday.
The nice young man behind the counter gave me a reduced rate to play and put me with a 3 some. I played well and had a GREAT day :)
No Driver Needed
The layout of the course is excellent. It will challenge you to hit all types of shots. On the back nine, consider whether the driver is the best option. If you have a strong mid-iron game, try a long iron or hybrid off the tee for better placement. The greens were in rough shape, but they rolled fairly well. Very interested to play the course again after the renovation.
Good place to have fun
This course has a really nice layout and is a nice challenge from the back tees. Great place to play a relaxing round.
My second time here. Challenging layout and good shape if you can stay in fairways,.Pretty dry on fringes and greens have annoying weeds but manageable. Major overhaul coming @ course closing so I'll try to play again soon. Great values available....
Very nice golf course
Personal very help full
We love this course
We havent played this course in awhile. Once we started playing realized how much we missed it. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the course was in good condition. We had a great morning of golf!
Nice Layout but...
Nice course but the greens were super slow. Great elevation change as well as open on a few holes.
Saturday at Chester Ditto
Enjoyed our day with an 8:51am tee time. Our foursome started on time and play relatively quickly. Our only complaint were the greens. They were extremely slow and had a weed growing on all of the greens. I've played Ditto several times, but I have never seen this weed in the greens before now?
Overall, it was a good day for golf..!
Golf course was not available for play
Do to an event that was going on at my tee time I was not able to play Ditto.
The course told me that Golf Now is putting out tee times not available on Monday on this course
Greens in terrible conditions
I typically love going to play at Ditto but the conditions of the greens have become increasingly frustrating. I find it hard to believe that they could still charge $40+ for weekend morning tee times when the greens are pitted with sand and bald spots. I understand that the weather conditions have not been favorable throughout the spring but I find it easy to believe that they just are not maintaining it due to the looming closure for renovations. The staff and almost everything else about the course is on par for an average round of golf.. but when you cannot hit a competitive chip shot or putt because the only consistency of the greens is that they will be terrible, it becomes frustrating and a waste of money and time.
Nice day course was good. The only issue were the greens, they were in need of repair and they had been working on them. I would play again anytime.
