Quick round
Actually played north course west and east
Course in good shape. Looked busy but two groups let me through and played 18 in 2 hours and 45 minutes!
Bit rusty haven’t played in three months but parred 9th in east for first time ever so take what you get. And birdied the second as well:)
Covid rules in effect but no problems. Staff is great here
Fun Day at Fergus Golf
This was the first time I played at Fergus Golf Course and I enjoyed the round. The course offers 3 different 9's (East, West and South). East and West are open with wide fairways and few challenges, and South offers a few more challenges with narrower fairways and more trees. I prefer more challenging courses with trees, brooks and sand traps. However, this was a nice course to play.
Unacceptable
So-so pace of play on the front nine followed by an abysmal pace on the back nine. On a jammed Sunday, they were sending random groups off of any open 9. “Open” is a loose term here as three groups waited ahead of us on the 10th hole as we made the turn. The marshals for golf north are useless as they just blame the clubhouse. Nothing is fixed or improved. Random people send themselves away as the starter just fans his arms saying he can’t control anything. I’ll never play this course again. $30 is a rip off for the lack of courtesy the staff here gives to the game and the customers.
As first time golfer on this course, arrows pointing to the next tee would help. Very fair course would do again.
