Smuggler's Glen Golf Course

perfect in almost every way. I cannot think of a flaw. Perhaps a tad too difficult, but then again if played from the correct tee blocks, not too bad.

I would not walk this course unless you are extremely fit! Lots of hills!
A very picturesque course.
A couple of tee boxes could have better direction and some paint to signify the Different tee boxes would help.
Otherwise the course is fantastic.

Fairways were like carpets. Greens also in great condition - rolled true with good quick speed. Challenging rough and great sand. Overall, as good as I've seen it in the last several years. Played as a twosome on a "Hot Deal" - arrived early for our 4:10 tee-time and starter had no problems letting us off early. This course has a great layout and is a must play in the region.

Even with the amount of rain we have had, the course was in excellent shape. Cart path only which is understandable. Thanks for the experience.

This is an excellent golf course. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Greens were quick but more than adequate. The course is very scenic and a joy to play. A bit of everything to challenge a player.

Great course. Spectacular views. Very Scenic from almost all the tee decks. Can be very challenging. Greens were slow but very good condition.

AS a Golf Now member I was very fortunate to play such a beautiful golf course late in our fall season .
The maintenance staff had made every attempt to reduce the number of fallen leaf's .

As usual the scenic views are amongst the best in Canada , looking across Thousand Islands .

Introduction to the course at the first Tee box is daunting , if you do not have real good contact with your tee-shot you can be in big trouble , what a challenge to get your game under way .
Many holes demand good second shot placement , if you want par .

The staff at the pro-shop cannot be more helpful , one get's the feeling they want you to play and enjoy the course

lets start by saying im a 5 handicap and this course spanked me. This is a risk reward course which absolutely put me in my place. The fact that I wanted to take a picture standing on every tee box probably kept me from making the right decisions from the tee instead of trying a hero shot . this is by far the best course in eastern Ontario and if played smart is very playable. I cant wait to play it again and play it a lot smarter. If your thinking of playing it don't hesitate you wont regret it.

We have a cottage about 7 minutes from this course and we have a corporate membership.Joined when the course first opened and the owners,the Seals,who also own the Glen House Resort,have done a wonderful job each year improving what was a great resort course to start.
The first hole has a great vista of the St.Lawrence to distract you from a challenging drive into a narrow landing area over a gorge.Bring a camera and expect to see deer,ducks and turkeys out of the course.
Each hole has it's own character and level of difficulty.Target golf in some cases-club choice can be diffcult the first time out-don't be fooled by what look like easy holes-they have various ways to kill a good round
Great course for groups travelling-Glen House is a historic inn across the parkway from the golf course with the best
Prime Rib in the area-great bar-great views of the river
Don't really want to let everybody know about the course as it may impact my tee times-lol but can't help it-it is a great course to play that you will come back to play again to do better the next time! Your hosts,the Seals and the staff are very welcoming.

Ravines, bunkers guarding the greens, water - it's all at Smugglers and it's a very very long course for the ladies. The view is lovely. We were surprised at the winter kill still on the greens, didn't expect that from this course and unfortunately, 2 fairways were being aerated, but we didn't know this ahead of time (checked online the day before and no mention).

Golf course in great shape. Staff very friendly and professional...as good as any high end course could be.

Selection of tee blocks ideal for all golfers. High to mid handicappers bring plenty of balls if you plan to play from the whites or pro tees.

Wow what an enjoyable day of golf on a challenging, picturesque course. You have to be part goat to walk it so if you aren't in great shape take a cart. Staff were friendly and let us go 30 minutes ahead of our scheduled start time since the foursome scheduled to go were late. So we appreciated not waiting around.

The only negative thing I can say is they ran out of range balls at 2 pm, which was disappointing and the pro shop didn't know and sold us two buckets ha ha but got the money back and they had a lot of rain so the course was wet and the bunkers weren't raked and like hard pan.

All in all a great day on a great course and will play it again.

The representative at the Pro Shop was very friendly and informative for our first visit.
The starters scheduling of foursomes was efficient.
The pace of play clocks on each hole were helpful to all golf parties.
The elevated tee offs are exceptional as you cannot find them on many designed courses.

Excellent golf course, and very well looked after. Fairways and greens were excellent, some of the tee boxes could use some attention however.
Only bad part of the day was dinner after the round, both the food and the service left a lot to be desired.

Great wow factor. A tip book would be beneficial for first timers. Fortunately we were paired with a local. Great course.

This course is breath taking, and it really makes you think about your shot placements, I stongly recommend people giving this breath taking course a challenge.

played an early tee time...not that much dew on the greens, well kept course...would play it anytime, especially on a hot Deal!!

Always a great round at smugglers. Peaceful and serene. Lots of wildlife and fairways are like carpets. Challenging greens and a great course layout. Never disappointed.
