Trehaven Golf and Country Club

Courses opened on Saturday and in the flurry to book, we ended up with a Monday 7am teetime at a course 100 km away.
It was worth the drive.
The weather was perfect. Pace of play, our threesome finished in 3 hrs and 40 minutes.
Tee boxes had good start on the season and not beaten.
Sand traps were filled and soft.
It could have been longer (very walkable)
We will be back

$30 sure $50 never agin. Course conditions were good but the course itself is not. Holes nearly on top of each other in places. The 66 yard par 3 isn’t even 50 yards. NOT WORTH $50

Booked my solo 18 holes through golf now.com INCLUDING cart. Get there 10 min before my tee time to be informed that my options are either play with another 3some at my tee time or PAY for the cart (which happen to cost more then I paid originally for the entire round). Person in the pro shop wouldn't budge on this. If I wanted to play as a group I would have assembled my own group. Strike 1.
Strike 2; playing solo I expect to run up on some groups. No big deal. Every single hole on the course waited min 5-10mi just for the next group to finish as they were jammed behind the person in front of them and so on.
Strike 3. Cart is completely dies in the middle of the 16th fairway resulting in me just walking off the course as I was still jammed behind a group.
The course was in great shape. But that's it

A quick 1 minute off Hwy #11 near Hawkstone ON lays a course more than appropriate for the average golfer. Very well maintained for this time of year...makes me wonder what it looks like mid-season? :) Take a break on your way through to the cottage you will be glad you did.

Was a pretty decent course.... Could always hear someone talking when you're trying to hit the ball....first par 5 was so close to driving range there was range balls all over the fairway....other than the horrible 4 some in front of us it was okay

Course was well maintained. Good mix of par 3s, 4s and 5s and good mix of hazards. Marshal was always around checking on pace, and lots of signs around reminding you to keep up.

I enjoy this couse because it is a fair course to play. The greens are in good condition and there is a lot more in the way of hazards and sand traps than two other local courses that I have played.
The carts are in good shape and they are quiet for gas carts.

Greens are in great shape, fairways were cut. Golfer friendly and not a hard course but the challenge is there. Will play again.

Good price on a Golfnow deal. We got rained out after 8 holes but got a raincheck for the back nine. We showed up about an hour before our tee time and hoped to tee off earlier in hopes of getting more golf in before the rain hit. Club house attendant wouldn't let us despite a good 20 minute stretch where NOBODY teed off. She seemed annoyed that I even asked.

Bunkers and greens are great. Course in excellent condition. Confusing at times... only sparse amount of trees separating the fairways so you had to watch for balls whizzing around from all directions. I'd go again on a deal but this course would never be my first choice.

I thought it was a pretty nice course. The price was great. I got paired with a nice guy from the same area as me.

Do not rent clubs under any circumstances, I have seen better clubs in the dump and I am not kidding.
Staff is not friendly at all, not worth golfing here .

I played this course multiple times in 2015. It is a good course for starting golfers as it is clean, open, and affordable.
However, it was not the round of golf that has turned me away from this course, but the poor customer service. As I had mentioned earlier, I played this course multiple times with my 2 sons in 2015. During the year the club was offing a stamp card which after so many rounds you get a free round, so it worked just like a coffee club member card. Anyway, over the course of the year we had forgotten our cards at home and they had given us new ones, but towards the middle/end of the season we had accumulated 9 cards in total with 8-9 stamps on each only to find out they wouldn't honor them because they were not on the same card. The lady at the till even had us write our names on the backs of the cards each time she gave us a new one so "It would count." she said.
In the end I just paid for the round my sons had saved all these cards to take me golfing with, and even after we had the last three stamps that day... we just can't be bothered to return.

Golfed with a group of bogey plus golfers and had a great round. Course is not too difficult and it fit right in with their ability. Pace was good about three forty five, we were a foursome playing between and around twosomes and there was not waiting or holding up others. If you want to go out and just have some fun without ant stress this is the place.

Fast pace. Small greens. Nice little track. Good value.
