Hornby Glen Golf Course

I am living 10 minute away but this is first tike play here. Starter Ken was very nice to tell me more on the course.

Awesome course with great layout and great condition.
Shot birdie on hole 5 and 10 which are the hardest and very hard holes.
The course layout is great and fit for all levels. Played on blue tee and fairly to see it is not a tough course but with some excitement. Will return for sure!

Was not impressed with the starter at the course. I was a twosome, me and my wife. When we got there for our tee-off time, we were told to wait, as they wanted to pair us off with another twosome. My wife is new to golf and was really looking forward to just playing as a twosome. As we waited, we could have easily teed-off and not hinder anyone in front of us or behind us. But the starter insisted that we wait for the other twosome. And we did. The other twosome showed up then we four teed-off to start our game walking the course. And just right behind us another twosome teed-off with the use of a power cart. So we had foursome walking, and a twosome with a power cart behind us. And to make my blood boil, there were no other golfers that teed-off for hours behind us. I found this disrespectful on the golf course to hold us up, and eventually probably never think about golfing there again.

This course has zero drainage. Walking around in muddy conditions with no rainfall in the prior few days. Carts only allowed on cart path then entire course. Every ball ended up inches into the mud on the fairway. I would never play this course again.

Friendly staff, helpful tips for the course. It was in great shape, very forgiving. Will return and tell a friend.

It was a pleasant experience. Weather was good and we had good game golf. Fairways and greens are very well maintained.

Playing Hornby was a decent experience. Course is well kept. Some greens are insanely difficult. However, it mostly suffers from the things that could make this a much better track:

-They don’t have a range, but they have a plot of land perfect for one. Nice if they could add at least a chipping green.
-There’s a severe lack of trees and the existing hazards don’t seem to present much of a challenge.
-Most of the layout is long, straight, and flat.
-They close super early.

I think if the owners could address and invest in these issues, this course would end up on a lot of people’s radars as a course they want to frequent.

Nevertheless, had a great time, just wish it had move variety and challenge.

Course conditions are great, greens are quick, fairway are good, and the rough has some bite.

Limited tee times probably has kept the conditions above average this season.

First time in awhile at hornby. Was reluctant from other reviews but definitely not disappointed. Pace was great and went Friday morning. Didn’t see any marshals on course just beginning at the turn and end. Price was decent from Golfnow. Easy check in and carts right there. Course in great shape and very forgiving. Would recommend for mid to high handicapper as confidence booster.

The worst golfing experience. Course employees / owners are extremely unfriendly and rude. Pace of play was great if it wasn’t for the constant pestering of staff. There was no one in front of us and no one behind us but the marshals kept pestering us on every hole to hurry up. Buddy threatening to call police. I’m still waiting LOL…extremely unprofessional and embarrassing for them. They don’t care about your experience, they just want your money…no wonder the course was empty. No one there and the guy still telling us to hurry up. Do not play here they are COVID crazy
