Goose Poop
The course layout is really nice and has some scenic holes along the water. However, there was a lot of goose poop on many of the fairways and all over the greens. I feel that staff should be out blowing the greens off so you don't have to putt over poop or around it. Other than that, it was a good little course.
Cheap golf on a short 9
Course is lush, but some of the greens are very beat up and damaged from the winter?? Anyway, it’s an easy course to walk- first one out, I took some pictures and walked the course in just over an hour!! 2nd round I waited every hole, as I think there are a lot of new or inexperienced golfers there. It took me just under 2 hours. Overall, I play this course every year because there’s not too many courses you can walk, in the north. Cheap golf at its finest, I’ll be playing her again.
Cheapest golf in Muskoka
Play this course every year. 9 short holes with only 1 par 5. Lots of good views to take in. Great spot to take your better half golfing or if you’re not very good, it’s a great spot. Some of the greens are damaged from the off season but most of them are in great shape.
Finding Deerhurst
Staff was very friendly and the course, although very wet from the rains of the summer, was a good executive course with some very beautiful views. Perfect for a quick 9 hole hole round while visiting Muskoka. Only challenge was Golf now’s address link took us to the Highlands course, and the signage and accessibility to the Lake course was confusing and awkward. If you were staying at Deerhurst and explored, it would make more sense.
Great place to golf 9 holes
Lovely course as challenging as you want it to be.
Friendly staff, very relaxed atmosphere.
Can’t beat the price!
Lots of fun topped off with a fabulous lunch at The Maple restaurant
Nice
Fantastic views! Swampy conditions even in the first cut. tee boxes and some greens were in pretty terrible conditions. However, the price matches expectations. Great course for people who don't care too much about these types of things.
Not What We Expected from Deerhurst Resort
The course was not in good condition. The Greens very very poor and slow it was almost impossible to reach the hole from 10 ft due to the slowness and bumpiness.
Too bad because with some tender care it could be a good 9 hole tract.
Bad timing
When I played, the course didn’t have any yard markers out on the fairways, which turns every approach shot into guesswork without a range finder. I was told by an employee that the markers had been stolen, but I don’t know why it’s a problem that couldn’t have been fixed the next day. Either way, that was really disappointing and put a damper on the round.
Good quick 9
For a quick 9 on a fun little course, this is just fine. Greens weren't in great condition, and fairways a little wet, but all in all we had a fun round with some challenging iron play.
Great course.
Great course for the price range. Takes only 2 hours walking, challenging enough for a fun round!
Beautiful view and amazing value
I love to play this 9 holes course over and over again. A great layout to challenge your skill but not discourage your mood . You can spend good two hours or so and enjoy your overall experience in Muskoka . Time goes by fast when you have fun!
Great day
Course was very nice the people are excellent but the fairways need a bit of work.
Had a Nice round
Nice small course & very beautiful, enough of a challenge.
Staff is very helpful & friendly
Only downfall is the large quantities of Goose poop on one & two.
